Straight Bananas I'm a MAD blog Award finalist!!

WARNING: this blog post is shameless!

Last Thursday evening I was waiting for my lives to replenish on Candy Crush Saga when I decided to check my Twitter feed. That's when I spotted the announcement that the Mad blog award finalists had been announced. I resisted the temptation to look, I'd really expected the announcement to be on Friday and wanted to dream for one more night. So I popped back to find a couple of friends had gifted me some extra lives on Candy Crush. Two crushing games later I popped back to Twitter. The congratulation tweets were coming in on my timeline, not for me, but for other fabulous bloggers who were on the list. I could resist no longer and went for a peak. I really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my name on the  list. I thought all the sweeties on Candy Crush were playing tricks on my eyes and giving me sweet treats on other sites! I really thought I'd be taken off again so I took a screen shot just to prove I had been there.

Then I recieved my first congratulatory tweet and soon it began to sink in that I was a finalist in the MAD Blog Awards, me and this little blog Raisie Bay.

Now, just in case you are new here let me tell you a little about Raisie Bay. Here I talk about family life with my five kids. Two are grown up, two are on the autistic spectrum. All five are gorgeous, but I know I'm biased. I'm in the School Days category because three of my children are at school, although the Little Man is only at pre-school. I've been standing in the same school playground for more than 20 years now, some of the mum's there now were students alongside my older kids!! (there are a couple of parents there the same age as me picking up their grand kids, but the less said about that the better I feel!)

I also bake and decorate cakes over on my other blog, Mostly Cake. I'm still learning and having fun. But of course that does mean that I can bribe any prospective voters with cake :-) he he he

Ah, I've said it now! Yes, I need voters! I need you, my lovely readers to vote for me now.
Here is my little finalist button, just click and go vote! But don't forget to check out all the other lovely blogs you can vote for too!

A little Note About Positive Reviews on Raisie Bay

Some people only write reviews when things go wrong with products, which is good because it lets people know that there could be potential problems. I've also seen negative feedback with say things like, I had to return this item because the colour did not suit me...is this useful?

I write reviews on most items I buy because I like to give genuine feedback. If I have a genuine problem with a product I will write my review in the appropriate place.

I write reviews on my blog too, but they are mostly positive. Why? Because I only write reviews for the things I've loved. If I don't love them I let the person who sent me them know with details why and then let them decided if they would rather me write a negative review or not write one at all. It's always the latter.

This is my blog, my place and I'll let you know about the things I love. If you want to find out what other people have hated about the product then you will need to look elsewhere.

My reviews may all be positive, but they are still genuine.
