My girls love to read, I think they get it from me although I don’t really have much time lately. I do remember as a little girl there was nothing I loved more than reading a good book. Of course, back then we didn’t have computers, or games consoles, so I am really pleased when my girls are happy to pick up a book rather than controller or a mouse.
Rosie and the Secret Friend on Amazon |
Silver and the Fairy Ball on Amazon |
I was sent two books to review aimed at 5 years plus. The Fairy Bell Sisters -Silver and the Fairy Ball and The Fairy Bell Sisters – Rosie and the Secret Friend. The Fairy Bell Sisters are the little sisters of the famous Tinker Bell whom all little girls know and love from the stories of Peter Pan. They live on Sheepskerry Island and are Clara Bell, Lily Bell, Rosie Bell, Silver Bell and Squeak.
In Silver and the Fairy Ball, little sister Silver is too young to go to the Fairy Ball and her secret plans end up in a terrible mess.
In Rosie and the Secret Friend, Rosie makes friends with a little human girl which is against fairy rules.
The books are easy to read and have cute line drawings to illustrate the stories.
Star, aged 7 years, read both books in one evening and said they were very good.
I had to read the books along with Boo, aged 5. She’s not yet a confident reader but was able to take turns with me in reading. She loved the stories too.
I believe any little girl who loves fairies will love these books.
I’m offering the same two books to one of my readers just follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget for your chance to win.

My daughter is starting school in September. She loves princesses and fairies, so I think these books would be great to encourage her to read.
My granddaughter is 2 and we have been building up a huge library of books for her. She is never without a book and when she wakes up in the morning she is given a cup of milk and a pile of books and that buys her mum another half an hour to get showered while she 'reads' to teddy quite happily.
