I feel as if I've had two lives if that makes sense. I spent 20 years with my first husband – very career focussed, wonderful house, 3-4 holidays a year. Then when I had to start all over again at 39, I thought my life was over. I have the most wonderful friends who go me through and my 40th was the best birthday ever. I had a new man (now Daddy P), I'd bought a house and felt good about myself. Little did I know then that by my 41st birthday I'd be pregnant and planning a wedding! Now I'm 45, a career and holidays seem like a distant dream, but I have my wonderful Monkey and I wouldn't trade my life now 🙂

I do know what you mean, I feel like I've had two lives as well, only mine are like a repeat episode having done the whole family thing twice. I guess the freedom and holidays will never be mine!

I know what Mary means about 2 lives. I had my prechild life which in someways seems like another lifetime. I had a good long time of that life before embarging on family life (a little on the late side).

You have no idea how much reading this post has helped. I am currently going through something similar with Ross and was worried my time was up. You have given me inspiration. Thank you lovely and thanks for linking to PoCoLo x
