Our Favourite Christmas Books

We are a book loving family and all take turns to read. As Christmas approaches we like to bring out the seasonal books and here are our top five children's books this year.

1.The Jolly Christmas Postman (The Jolly Postman) The Jolly Postman has been a favourite in our house for many years and now we love this Christmas version where we can find out what well loved characters from fairy tales are sending to each other at Christmas time.

2. The Nativity Story (Candle Bible for Kids) Even if you are not Christian it is still a story that every one can relate to a Christmas time. I like this version because it's well illustrated and the story is simplified so even the Little Man can understand.

 3. The Night Before Christmas (Pop-up book) A classic Christmas poem, we love our pop-up version. It's a great way to learn the names of Santa's reindeer.

 4. Peppa Pig: Peppa's Christmas This one is for the Little Man, a huge Peppa Pig fan.

5.Santas Coming to Birmingham (Santa Is Coming) This is a new one for us this year. I couldn't resist it and the littlies have loved reading about Santa arriving in their own town. They recognised many of the pictures and places mentioned. There are many other towns available in the series too.

A little Note About Positive Reviews on Raisie Bay

Some people only write reviews when things go wrong with products, which is good because it lets people know that there could be potential problems. I've also seen negative feedback with say things like, I had to return this item because the colour did not suit me...is this useful?

I write reviews on most items I buy because I like to give genuine feedback. If I have a genuine problem with a product I will write my review in the appropriate place.

I write reviews on my blog too, but they are mostly positive. Why? Because I only write reviews for the things I've loved. If I don't love them I let the person who sent me them know with details why and then let them decided if they would rather me write a negative review or not write one at all. It's always the latter.

This is my blog, my place and I'll let you know about the things I love. If you want to find out what other people have hated about the product then you will need to look elsewhere.

My reviews may all be positive, but they are still genuine.
