I love Spring, it’s full of beginnings. Things start to wake up and come alive in spring. Animals have their babies, trees start sprouting blossom and leaves and flowers start to bloom. The days get a little longer and the sun starts to make an appearance. (This time last year we had SNOW!)
This week I’ve been thinking about spring a lot. It’s actually been quite refreshing to get out and about, for three months we have been restricted on going out because of Star’s halo. She couldn’t go out in the cold or rain and when we did go out she’d get tired really quickly, well, she was carrying scaffolding around on her head. Now the halo is gone and Star has been feeling a little better (well, that’s a lie, but she’s been ok about going outside on sunny days for short bursts.)
So, what makes me and the littlies think about spring?
Well, there is going down to the canal to feed the ducks. We can’t wait to meet their chicks.
There is nothing that says spring is here more than blooming flowers. We didn’t venture far but we managed to find daffodils and daisies.
Then there is the growing leaves and blossom on the trees.
Also, it’s great to finally get the washing out on the line to dry in the sun and wind.
Spring is also the time to celebrate Easter, my favourite holiday with chocolate, and Mother’s Day.
I love Spring and I love being able to go out again.
Oh yes, a lovely time of year! And there is something satisfying about hanging washing outside, isn't there?! Thanks for joining in with #WotW x
