We don’t get out much these days but on Bank Holiday Monday one of our favourite bands, Little Liam, was playing live at a local park fete so we had to make an effort.
We were lucky as it was a lovely day, not too sunny but it was warm and it didn’t rain until the night time. The park was full of people, really crowded and I didn’t take too many photos because I was worried about losing one of the children in the crowd (particularly the Little Man who loves to let go of my hand and escape at any opportunity)
There was so much to see and do but we’d mainly come to see Little Liam play so we spent most of our time at the stage.
Here is the lead singer of Little Liam (His name is Liam!) with the rest of my crew.
Here is Star totally engrossed in the performance. She’s most certainly their number one fan. Her favourite song is ‘If I Wasn’t Me’

I love this photo of the Little Man having a dance.
After watching the show we went to have some fun on the fair. Of course with Star not being well enough to go on most rides we were really limited. It’s hard when you have to say to an eight year old you can’t ride on that or you can’t go on that all the time. Thankfully, Boo and the Little Man were happy enough with the safer rides I chose for them. They were all a little dissapointed that the bouncy castles were off limits though. I just can’t risk Star falling over or getting bumped. They did have some fun though.

Looks like a great day out, and glad they could go on a few rides. And yes, you have to have a hot dog!
can't believe how much they charge for a sausage in a roll though !!
loverly review it was a fantastic day and great to finally meet Lucy as I heard all about her on FB and Graham, Little Liam are a fantastic band and they have time for everyone.

We went to a church fete on the Bank Holiday. Well you do, don't you to have a cake and some warm squash 😉 It looks like you had a great day out, never heard of this band, maybe I am getting old – will youtube them now!
I love church fetes, we have a lovely old church nearby and we love it. Not so keen on warm squash but I never say no to cake!
We recently went to a fest too and my son just listened to the singer! This is something new to me. Music is his new fave now =)
YOur day looks really love! Music and outside is so much fun =) #countrykids
oh yes, music always sounds better on a sunny day in the park!
Music is the best medicine.
Everyone had lots of fun.
And having fun is what it's all about.
true Graham, and this is the first time you have ever commented on my blog.
Looks like you had a good time! And you're right – would have been rude not to have a hotdog afterwards
Yes, we had a lovely time, and the hot dogs were very nice 🙂
A great family fun day out with plenty of activities to keep the children entertained, at least the rain held off until the evening! Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
It would have been a completely different story if it had rained in the day, we were just happy to get out at last 🙂
What a lovely time out, we also made the effort to get to a local May Fayre – reliable informed that the wine and beer were warm! we went for ice creams instead:)! Glad you found some rides that everyone could enjoy.
Oooh definitely a 'no' to warm wine or beer. Glad there was ice cream on offer instead.
It sounds like a lovely day out, loving the pictures of them on the rides! It seems like such a hassle to go out but I'm always glad of the fresh air!
We love to get out, it drives us all bonkers when we are confined. hopefully Star will recover quickly from her operations and we'll won't lose the whole of the summer.
Nice idea for a May day event. Looks like it was a good day out, and nice when you get the chance to catch up with bands you like
I really do love live gigs, especially when they are outside.
Ah – looks like a lovely day out – a shame that there had to be the frustration over things that can't be done – that's difficult for everybody.
What a lovely fayre to enjoy, it looks such a great fun and I can't think of a better way to relax than watching some live music, a few funfair rides and a hotdog.
Nipping over from Country Kids.
