Fourteen Months Later

Well almost, it will be fourteen months tomorrow.
We took Star to the hospital yesterday to see her consultant and he was very pleased with her progress. She is now on six monthly check ups! Wow!

Of course, fourteen months ago when this all started, I would never have believed it would have taken so long to get her fixed, or that she would have had to endure so much.

It's been a long journey with five stays in hospital and numerous CT scans. When she was first fitted with a halo I thought things couldn't get any worse. Then she had to endure surgery and have the halo back. Now she is left with limited mobility in her neck but at least she is safe and pain free.

She is one brave little girl, People say that all the time, but we have been there all the way and it's truly amazing how she has coped with everything.

Our next step is getting her back to school.

  4. So pleased for you that she is so much better. I know it's not all over, but I hope you have been able to relax a little yourself now, and get some help (alcohol or chocolate based maybe?!) for all the stress it must have caused you. Good luck on the school front x

A little Note About Positive Reviews on Raisie Bay

Some people only write reviews when things go wrong with products, which is good because it lets people know that there could be potential problems. I've also seen negative feedback with say things like, I had to return this item because the colour did not suit me...is this useful?

I write reviews on most items I buy because I like to give genuine feedback. If I have a genuine problem with a product I will write my review in the appropriate place.

I write reviews on my blog too, but they are mostly positive. Why? Because I only write reviews for the things I've loved. If I don't love them I let the person who sent me them know with details why and then let them decided if they would rather me write a negative review or not write one at all. It's always the latter.

This is my blog, my place and I'll let you know about the things I love. If you want to find out what other people have hated about the product then you will need to look elsewhere.

My reviews may all be positive, but they are still genuine.
