When we entered the Sea Life Centre Star was given a little booklet. It showed us things to see and do and when completed there was a stamper available to stamp in the book. The first task was to stroke a crab or star fish. Star was straight in there, she’s a real animal lover and isn’t afraid to go up and get close.
A new feature at the Sealife Centre is the Underwater Ice Adventure and the adorable Gentoo Penguins. They arrived earlier this year, back in March and I can’t believe I waited so long to see them.
When they arrived my local Cake Shop, Love Cake Supplies, made this gorgeous cake for them.
Here are some more lovely Gentoo Penguins. They really knew how to put on a show. I loved that you could see them both above and below water.
Then there were the jellyfish in their cylindrical tanks lit with changing colours. The entire room was absolutely mesmerising.
Of course, there are also the fish, lots of them.
And sharks, starfish, seahorses, rays and many many other creatures.
Star managed to complete all the stamps in her little book and received a medal at the end of our trip.
I do love the Sea Life Centre and I’m sure I’ll be visiting again soon.
Linking up with Coombe Mill Country Kids.
N.B We paid for entry ourselves, but we had deal from a car park ticket. You can also get tickets from using Tesco Boost rewards which is what I plan to do next visit. Love Cake Supplies have not asked me to mention them. I’m doing it because I love their shop and their work.
I have a real phobia about fish, I don't know why ? But the penguins look so cute x
I love aquariums, there is always something new to explore. #CountryKids
Sealife centre is an amazing day out. Looks like you had a lot of fun.
This looks beautiful it's such a shame that we don't have a sealife centre close to us, it does look truly mesmerising! It's great that Star managed to complete all her little tasks, I'm sure she was super excited to get the medal. It's always great when kids are learning all about the animals whilst still having tonnes of fun! Thanks for liking up with me on Country Kids!
Lovely photos – looks like a fun day out. I love the jellyfish photos. Have never been to Sealife Centre, will have to take the girls one day – they love seeing the fish at our local garden centre 🙂
That penguin cake looks awesome! You are lucky to have such an amazing cake shop near you. Sea life is great – We hadn't been for many years and then took D for his birthday when he was around 5 I reckon and then went to the Moshi event at sealife last year which was great too. I love how much focus they put on conservation and educating people about wildlife. x
