I’ve lived in Birmingham all my life and I love my City. Of course I’d like to be closer to the sea side, but being central it’s never that far away.
I’d like to share some of my favourite places in Birmingham with you, some are obvious, some not so obvious but I’m sure there is something for everyone.
If you need to stay over Birmingham has a selection of fabulous Travel Lodge hotels for you to stay in, including five in the city centre. Look our for their new upgraded rooms which are more comfortable than ever and each room has a new king size bed.
Shopping in the Centre.
Birmingham Symphony Hall
The auditorium is a model of a modern concert hall with superb acoustics so whatever you decide to see you will enjoy.
Or you could even opt for a tour of the hall, they are held frequently.
Canals
Think Tank
If you live in London you may be interested in the Wonderlab and can read Chloe’s review here.
Certainly some of our favourite places in the city on that list too. I think H would struggle to pick between Think Tank, Sea Life and Cadbury World.
Yes, my kids struggle too 🙂
It's nice to appreciate the things around us where we live. My family and I are actually going to Cadbury World in your neck of the woods in a few weeks!
I live close enough to Cadbury World to smell the chocolate 🙂
Oh wow, there are so many things to do. I have never really spent a lot of time in Englands second city.
this is just the tip of the iceberg really!
I have to admit I often forget how much there is to do in Birmingham. x
Cadbury World is the only place I've ever visited in Birmingham. I really should get there and explore more as it's only about 90 minutes from us. I'd love to mooch around the canals.
I love the canals. I actually live next to one.
So much to do in birmingham. It is really easy to get to from my destination… Milton Keynes.
May have to pop over for a spot of christmas shopping and a sleep over x
I am ashamed to say I have never been to birmingham, other than to Drayton Manor and the NEC – must change that
I havent visited Birmingham in a good few years, must rectify that soon!
I'd love to go on a canal boat!
It's been a long time since I visited Birmingham but you've reminded me why it's on my to do list! Didn't realise there was a science museum either, that sounds like something the kids would love. Thanks for all the ideas 🙂
This is a great post – I have only been to Birmingham twice – both times was to Blog Camp!! Kaz x
