Fun With Bugs and our Sassy Kids Club Box

Last Friday the Little Man was feeling a little under the weather. He had been poorly in school the day before so I decided to keep him home for the day.

Once he was feeling a little brighter he was starting to feel bored, but no worries, look what had arrived in the post!

It was a brand new Sassy Kids Box. We had so much fun with our last box which was all about popcorn, the Little Man couldn't wait to open this box.

Inside we found activities based on a bug theme. The main activity was to make a dragonfly and there were enough supplies to make two!
The bonus activity was to make a paper chain caterpiller.
The Extra Fun was a caterpillar song.
There was also a quiz, a colouring in sheet and a good dead challenge card.
Also, we found a bonus gift of a wriggly worm. You can see this in action in our little video which I have put together.

The Little Man began with the main activity, he coloured in his spoon, added the wobbly eyes then folded the cellophane sheet which I attached with the pipe cleaner. All supplies were in the box, I didn't have to add anything.

After we made the dragonfly we set to making the caterpillar. We had to use scissors and glue which were not in the box, but they had been supplied in the previous box. We cut the green paper into strips and used these to make a chain. Then we cut a face from the red card and drew on two eyes. We glued this on to make our caterpillar.

We spent the rest of the afternoon doing the other activities in the box, the colouring and the quiz.
The Little Man really enjoyed the activities in the box. It was just what I needed on a day when I had a poorly little boy at home. I didn't have to look for supplies or figure out the activities, everything was to hand.
The little wriggly worm provided a few giggles too.

If you would like to try a Sassy Kids Box for yourself the regular price is £3.99 per box plus 99p postage and it's a regular delivery but you can cancel at any time. You can get your first box for just £1.99. Visit www.sassykidsbox.com for more details.

Disclosure: we were sent a Sassy Kids Box for review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
