It’s really felt like summer here recently and that means it’s time for a barbecue.
Well, we don’t have one yet! We only moved here last September and we didn’t bring our old barbecue which had seen better days and so far we’ve not bought a new one. No doubt we will do soon.
We do love a barbecue though, so we were happy when we had a card delivered through the door inviting us to a barbecue on the green just around the corner. So this lunch time we toddled on over and had a lovely couple of hours enjoying the food and listening to the music. Even No1 Son came and joined us which is very unusual, but then again, there was food involved.

Star and the Little Man were having fun in the sun but sadly Boo was still at school. Never mind though, they are doing it all again tomorrow and it’s Saturday! (I’ve checked the forcast and it’s supposed to be sunny again until evening)

How great to find something round the corner from your house! And what a lovely day you had for it too. x #countrykids
Happy to hear that you're making the most of the fabulous weather. Hope you have an equally fabulous time at today's barbecue!
What a great community event – and for free! It looks like there was a good turnout and lots of fun too. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
this looks like a super event honey and BBQ's are one of my most fave ways to spend my time in the sun 😉 x
Awww food and music is such a nice way to spend the afternoon! #CountryKids
What a lovely community event to get involved with. Looks so sunny and friendly 🙂
what a lovely event. We've just got one of those tiny bucket barbecues but it is fine for us as a family and as a bonus it is small enough to take out and about for barbecues at the beach etc – i think we picked it up at the supermarket for a few pounds. We binned our old 'big' barbecue when it got beyond being able to clean it properly! x
You just can't beat a barbecue can you…here's to lots more through the summer!
