A Walk in the park!
Step away from the screens, unplug the computers, put on your shoes and let’s go out.
A walk in the park is a breath of fresh air, so much to discover, so much space to run around.
Then we can go and play in the playground and grab an ice cream from the van.
There is nothing as much fun as a walk in the park.
We have always enjoyed going to the park, if it’s cold we throw on a coat, if it’s warm we look forward to an icy treat. We look for treasure to bring home like sticks, stones and pine cones. There is always something to do while walking and as an added bonus you are getting some exercise and fresh air.

What do you like most about walking with the children in tow?
We enjoy walking in the park, but we also enjoy a walk along the canal. We are lucky to live right next to a canal and used to walk along it to and from primary school. But we have also enjoyed many walks along the canals in our city.
We have also spent many hours Geocaching, where we go looking for little boxes that have been hidden by others. This can mean we end up walking for miles looking for the right place, but over the years we have found that the technology to find the right co-ordinates has improved greatly. If you want to give Geocaching a go I can vouch for it being a lot of fun and a fantastic way to encourage the children out of the house.
