oh Anne – you have been through so much. I think crying when you get home from hospital after a long period of time is probably normal – When i came home after a month in hospital with my JIA aged 10 I remember sobbing and sobbing with happiness at being home and telling my mum it was because I missed the ceilings being so low (the old hospital had really high ceilings and my bedroom looked really low in comparison). Of course it wasn't really about the ceilings i suspect but that just triggered all the emotions.

You've done really well Anne – remember that. It must be so hard not knowing when the end will be in sight but it will be one day. I am sure of it – you're such a strong person! x

What a tough time you've been having. I can completely understand why the hospital was a welcome relief for you and why it was so emotional coming back. I hope things continue to improve for you. Well done for getting through the last 8/9 months #thetruthabout

I don't think it's bad at all – it's such a big shift from home to a hospital routine and back again, it's a lot to get used to. The last time I was in I hated it because my daughter was on NICU while I was on maternity, and I couldn't get up there unless someone visited and helped me, but the time before it was actually really relaxing to just be able to lie there undisturbed! #thetruthabout

I like that you liked it. There is something very comforting about that Anne. And yes it's natural that you worried about what was going on at home and missed your kids but it was nice to have everything done for you and just to be able to rest.
I remember when I was about 17 my mum went into hospital with salmonella and at the same time my grandma (who lived with us and did most of the cooking etc. as my mum worked full time) was in a different hospital having a hip replacement. I remember my dad asking me how you cook rice! We survived though but it's that whole thing of being the primary carer and not really being able to afford to get unwell. I can totally understand that being unwell in hospital is a reprieve.
I really hope that you are properly recovering. Thanks for linking up to #thetruthabout this week X

I can understand how awful it must be to separated from your baby x I didn't really enjoy being in hospital at all while I was staying there with my daughter a couple of years ago.

It must have been so hard without your mum and your nan. I was brought up by my mum and nan as my dad passed away when I was young and nan moved in. It is hard when the carer gets sick. I did write a post about that on the blog I keep for my daughter. x thanks for hosting #thetruthabout.
