Today’s theme for Blogtober16 is ‘an old photo of you.’ Well, is this old enough? By the way, it hasn’t been edited to black and white, it was taken with a black and white camera circa. 1969. We were on our way to a wedding. The man sitting at the table in the background is my Dad.
I’m looking rather miserable, probably because my dummy had been taken away from me. There is another photo of me in the same place with my dad, with my dummy shoved firmly back in, I believe they gave up trying to make me smile without it. I think I was probably too old for a dummy but mum had to make use of the hundreds of dummies she was given when she left her job in a dummy factory to have me.
I never miss a chance to pimp my social media channels, like or follow and I’ll do the same in return:
That is not the face of a happy kid, is it? lol #MySundayPhoto
haha wow! I have really enjoyed looking back on old photos for todays #blogtober
I absolutely love black and white photos and would love some of mine to be black and white. I just love the tones #blogtober16
I love this, it's great to look back over old photos
Thank you for linking up
Hi Anne, your expression is classic! I think I have a very similar photo from around the same time, except I am making a mad dash out of the shot, with a face like thunder. You have to love wedding photos! It's a shame your Mum never worked in a nappy factory, although back then they were Terry's nappies, so not quite the same.
xx
I love black and white photos, your dress is very pretty

Haha I love that face without your dummy. My little one would do just that i think!
hehehe! What a sad little face. It was a very pretty dress though x
Look at those long legs!
I never had dummies … but I had my thumb Anne 🙂

I absolutely love this photo! #Blogtober16 x
What a cutie you are!
You look really miserable there Anne. Isn't it funny how when we are young we wear our hearts and feelings on our sleeves?
I love that your Mum worked in a dummy factory! It reminds me of the tooth paste factory in Charlie and Chocolate Factory for some reason.
And my Dad made bicycles, it's funny how times change. We now live very near a chocolate factory, I've seen a lot of changes there too. I used to visit as a child because my aunt worked there and it really was a factory, now it's more like Charlie's Chocolate Factory, they even have a freaky ride. You may of heard of it, it's called Cadbury World now.
I certainly did! I was mostly happy but if I was sad, EVERYONE knew about it 😉
I still have the long legs but they don't work now. I did love my dummy but only my first child had one.
awww, so cute X #mysundayphoto
Hugs lovely lady xx
What an expression on your face! It's a great photograph to have. My mum has all the old photos of me and I haven't seen them in years.
Awww you are so lucky to have old photos of you! Mine was damaged by a flash flood. #mysundayphoto
I love the fact that you felt you needed to clarify that it was taken in black and white and not edited to be a black and white photo! Definitely not a happy shot of you though.
I love the look on your face, I have seen this look so many times when I have done something the children are not happy with! I do love black and white photos.
