Autumn Trees outside the school.
As Autumn turns to winter the afternoons are colder and bleaker. This photo was taken while I was waiting for my kids to come out of school and I’m thinking it won’t belong before the view is of frost or even snow.
It’s not the best of photographs, it was taken on my phone through the car window. It’s too cold for me now to get out of the car to meet my kids, that’s Daddy’s job, but I still like to go and wait for them in the car so they don’t have to walk home. They still have to walk to school in the morning though.
It looks like a chilly day, the temperature has really dropped this week

I didn't wake until almost 9am today – it was wonderful to have light instead of the pitch black (although Mon-Fri I do enjoy the birds waking up – love to start the day with birdsong!). I would love to hibernate…

It is a lovely autumn shot. The schools here try to encourage walking to and from school because they don't know any rules of the road when walking otherwise.
Evenings draw in too early for my liking, this is looking very wintery
I encourage walking too, except when it's really cold or wet. They still have to walk in the morning though. It takes me too long to get in the car!
We have lots of trees and birds at the bottom of our garden, so I also enjoy a tuneful morning. The school is in the middle of a housing estate but there is a park opposite. We also live right on the edge of the city so not far from a fair stretch of countryside…well, until you reach the motorway.
