Such a lovely collection of memories 🙂 I'm thankful I still have my maternal grandparents – I didn't think I'd be lucky enough to still have them around to see my first child, they've had such awful luck with their health. But they're amazing people, and still going strong despite battles with cancer, heart disease and bypass, and now they're on to fake knees and cataracts. But they're still going! Putting many younger people to shame despite being in their 80s. #mmbc

So beautifully written, I'm so pleased you linked up to TuesdayTreasures because otherwise I would've missed this. I will be following now though! You Nan sounds like a remarkable woman who had many a story to tell. I enjoyed reading this x

Hi Anne, what a lovely letter and what an interesting character your Nan was. Her name Lilian Rosena is far nicely than plain old Lil. I remember my own Grandma having a mangle in the garden that we were fascinated with. I bet her toffee apples were the best too! I am sure she is with the people she loves now and waiting for the rest of them.

Thank you for linking up to the #MMBC.

What a beautiful post. I am truly honoured to have read it. It made me think a lot of my own grandma. I often wonder what they would think if they could see us now. Mine like yours was ready to go, but I'm not sure I would ever have been ready. Giving birth to my second baby made me miss her so much, she knew all about babies and with the eldest was the one I always turned to for advice. It sounds like your man was an incredible lady, raising eight children must have been quite some work. Thank you so much for sharing this with us a true #PostFromTheHeart

What lovely memories you have of your Nan. I spent almost every weekend with my Nan as a child, she was my safe place. I didn't have the happiest of childhoods but those weekends and the love I felt from here is enough to erase all the bad. I miss her so, I don't think I will ever stop. Thanks for linking up with #TuesdayTreasures
