I was so determined to have a good word this week, and despite it being one of the worst weeks in ages I am going to keep my determination. I’ve chosen Peace.
When we are faced with such awful mindless violence and loss of innocent lives in terror attacks on our country we have a choice. We can react back with our own anger or seek peace. Of course, I’m not saying that you don’t have to feel anger, but my choice is to hope that one day we can all live in peace. It is for this reason that I’m no joining in with any angry posts on my social media timelines. Already, people are arguing with each other and many friends have been lost because of opposing views. We should be sticking together at times like this. Peace to all.
We had a bad start to the week at home this week too. Poor Star was supposed to have been going on a school trip but the coach went without her. She was so upset she made herself physically sick and lost two days from school because of it. We have still not received an explanation from the school about what had happened and although the school does seem to have some understanding of autism, I think they have a lot to learn. Especially where special instructions are involved or change of routines. We have felt angry and let down but I’m sure we will be at peace again once we have spoken to the school and talked about what happened and how we can prevent it happening again. Star is back at school now and things are more peaceful at home.
I wish you all a peaceful week next week x
Oh no that's awful! That really isn't on, someoen messed up very badly there. Poor Star – I hope she can get past it. Glad she has.gone back to school and I hope.next.week is much better.
Peace is an excellent choice, if only.xx
That is doubly awful. To leave someone behind is bad enough. Really hope you get a good explanation and that something is put in place to stop it happening again. Last trip the Teen took, they waited an hour for someone. I think your approach is very positive and I'm sure Star will pick up on it. Hope next week is peaceful. #wotw
That's terrible, poor Star. I'm glad she's OK now and you manage to get some answers around it. Peace is a great word to choose, and I completely share your sentiments this week x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
What a wonderful word….
Oh no! Poor Star….That is awful. I hope you get some answers soon.

Poor Star! Leaving her behind was really not on. I hope you get a satisfactory explanation and that nothing like that happens again. I think peace is an excellent word for this week. We should be uniting in times like this and not arguing over social media #wotw
Oh no! So sorry to hear that Star got left behind on the school trip and it upset her so much. I hope you manage to get to the bottom of it with school and that nothing like this happens again. Peace is a really good word for the week especially given the events of last week. It's all too easy to get caught up in anger but unless that anger is used in a positive way to change things for the better, it just makes things seem worse somehow. There's a lot to be said for moving forward in peace. #WotW
