I'm firmly in the 'it's too early' camp. I know we get Christmas stuff in the shops at this time every year, but it still feels wrong to me. I don't have a problem with people quietly shopping for it, I understand that people need to budget. I will probably start shopping in mid-November and aim to have it done by early December. What I do dislike is people getting 'excited' and posting Christmas countdowns online when it's September. It's too early!
PS Lovely picture! There's a Christmas shop open all year round in Padstow too.

I am pretty chilled but I feel sympathy for people who can't stand Christmas stuff too early, up to a point! We have a mid-November birthday in the family so it would be a bit unfair to talk about it too much before the birthday is over. However with a big family I need to start preparations much earlier. My brother doesn't even like me to ask what he wants until 1st December which is just wholly impractical! #MySundayPhoto

My birthday is the end of November and I remember that my Mum wouldn't put up decorations or mention Christmas until after my birthday, so it never really began until December. I still won't put up my tree until December, but the presents and preparations are always well underway.

Maybe it is early, but I can't help getting either excited or panicked once the kids go back at school and my thoughts turn to Christmas….but no worries, we have halloween to get through yet, and my birthday and wedding anniversary so I won't be putting up any Christmas decorations just yet!

I'm not a massive fan of autumn or the cool weather so I just love when Christmas starts hitting the shops. I really don't mind the craziness for a few months, it's all so happy! Plus a guy at work brought in mince pie so I think that's officially called it for me!

Hi Anne, I am a great lover of Christmas, and it's the one time of year when I like to be organised and like to have presents bought by the start of December. My favourite part is the build-up to the day, but I am not a fan of seeing Christmassy things too early as by the time December arrives I feel a little desensitised to it all…. Saying that though if I came across a cute little Christmas shop like in your photo, any time of the year, my eyes would light up like a child in a sweet shop and there would be no holding me back. But that's because it's a novelty and not the norm.

Love the second photo. I see the makings of a Christmas card!

    xx

Too early, and I love Christmas, but I don't need to be reminded now. I'd rather enjoy autumn first. I do love the all year Christmas shops. They are fun. #MMBC

I recognised this straightaway as Stratford as it is opposite Shakespeare's birthplace. You did well to get a photograph without all the tourists in front!
