My Christmas CAL
This year I’m doing a Christmas CAL (crochet along) from Deramores and this is my first item. I hope you can tell what it is.
I see it, it’s creeping in, the warm up to the Christmas frenzy. Presents being bought, plans being made. Trust me, if you want a party venue for Christmas you have to start looking in June. I know, we tried to plan a wedding party for late November!.
I love my crochet, and Christmas gifts and decorations need to be started early because they take a while to complete. Last year I made quite a few scarves as gifts, so I can’t do that again. So I’ve decided to go for a decoration theme and I’ve joined a CAL. The first two items are baubles for the tree, the reindeer above is my first finished, I’m now a half way through the next which is a robin bauble. I will also be making some table place mats and coasters and a Christmas stocking. You can see them all on my other blog At Home A Lot I’d love to know if you are doing it too.
Relaxing
I’m currently having a relaxing weekend. I was poorly last week with a cold, because I’m auto-immune, a cold can feel like I’m dying. But I battled on and hopefully didn’t moan about it too much. I’m recovering now and having a relaxing weekend so I can gain some strength for the activties I have planned next week. We are pottery painting on Tuesday, then a visit to the local farm and a spooky pumpkin carving event on Wednesday. Friday is a visit to the hospital for my cardiology appointment, so hopefully I won’t get too frightened on Thursday, which is Halloween!!
This half term has felt like a long time coming and I hope the kids enjoy their week off. After, I really must get on with my Christmas plans.
Blogtober 2019
I’ve been taking part in Blogtober again this year and it’s been lots of fun. I am hoping I’ll be able to keep up with some of the new blogs I’ve found. So far I’ve only missed 3 posts, so I’ve posted a total of of 24 times so far this month. Phew. I hope I haven’t driven anyone away with my excessive posting, it’s only for October. In just a few days I’ll be back to 2 or 3 posts a week instead of 6 or 7.
You can see a lot of the Blogtober posts in the linky here hosted by 3 Little Buttons.
That’s brilliant. I’ve really enjoyed your Blogtober posts. Hope the hospital goes well.
