Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘return’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Return
It’s September and the return to school. Well, for some. After much deliberation I decided to send my youngest back to school into year 6. The girl’s are supposed to return to school next week. At the moment, I don’t see that happening.
We have also had to return our car, after just a year the clutch has gone and it’s off the road. We have been given a courtesy car which is huge. It’s really rather nice though, it would be great for a big family day out. Our original car will be returned to us once fixed, which may take a while as the garage is backlogged at the moment.
I have made a return to hospital appointments. This week I had an MRI to see how Walter is getting on. (Walter is the name I gave to the anomaly found on my brain, it’s not a tumor.)
Next week I make a return to the lovely day ward to have my IVIG treatment. I have missed it. I didn’t realise just how much it was helping until it was taken away! I’m not looking forward to five days in hospital though. Plenty of reading material I think.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Back to school is a tough one. My younger two have gone back, but I honestly don’t see how they can avoid the virus spreading and the year group bubbles being sent home. I hope your hospital trips work out well and you can enjoy your extra reading time.
I hope the return to school went well for your youngest and Walter is behaving himself.
Good luck with the IVIG treatment. x

I hope Little Man is enjoying being back at school and that your car gets sorted out soon (although it’s good that you’re enjoying having the courtesy car in the meantime!). Good luck with your treatment next week, hope all goes well x #WotW
