This week I finished a shawl I’d been making. I’ve wanted to crochet a shawl for a long time but some of the patterns seemed incredibly complicated for something that was just basically a triangle of fabric. So I kind of followed a pattern and adjusted it to make it a little easier. In the end I think it was the wool that made the shawl stand out, I’m loving working with wool that changes colour at the moment, it’s so much easier than having to change it yourself and tie in all the loose ends. When finished I needed a model and Boo was more than willing to show it off.
She put it on at an angle and I was so tempted to straighten it up but I resisted.
Nothing to See Here
I was never very good at capturing moments on camera, maybe it’s because I grew up in a non digital age and every photo had to count because you had to wait to have them developed and pay for each one? I keep saying I will take more photos and I’ve bought so many digital cameras which are gathering dust. I know I’m not a photographer, I just don’t have the ‘eye’ to make a photo special. But, I really do need to take more photos. I look back on all the photos I took this week and, well, nothing apart from Boo modelling my shawl. I did take a photo of a pencil drawing I made but I put that directly on Instagram.
It was Graham’s birthday this week, I have no photos of his birthday cards or cake, presents, or even the lovely meal we had. I need to take more photos!!
Next week when I join up with the Sunday Snapshot linky I’m hoping to have tons of photos to choose from 🙂

I am pretty good at taking photos. I think taking part in project 365 helps with taking a photo every day. Good luck x

I take less photos than I used to, probably because every day seems the same! I don’t think I’ve even taken photos of us with masks on! Have fun with your photography!

I love the shawl – the colours are so pretty and I can see how multicoloured wool would be much easier to work with. How lovely of Boo to model it for you too. I tend to take photos most days – if only to do my daily gratitude post. #MMBC
Good for you for finishing the shawl! My last crochet project is still sitting (unfinished) in a basket by my chair. It has been here for over a year! Both the shawl and the model are beautiful! 🙂

It’s so good to know I’m not the only one who hardly takes any photos. I’m blind and have always blamed that for my lack of picture-taking, but then again I’d love to take more photos.

I’ve always taken a lot of photos, even back in the day when we had film cameras. I only use my phone now. I had a digital camera, but it died a death three years ago. I delete a lot of my photos, but I keep all the ones I take of my kids and anything special we do.
