Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My phrase this week is ‘up and down’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Up and Down
I could have used rollercoaster, but I’ve used that before. I think this week was more than a roller coaster though, it was more like one of those fairground rides that go up, up, up, then plummet down so fast you leave your stomach behind.

The weekend wasn’t so good, The Little Man was poorly and kept me awake for two nights in a row. I was exhausted on Sunday morning. But I plodded on as you do when you are a parent. Then after a long wait we heard of the safe arrival of my great nephew. I can’t wait to meet him in a couple of weeks time. At the moment I’m savouring every photograph that’s shared.

Monday was nice, the weather was great and we enjoyed the bank holiday at home just chilling. Then on Tuesday we had a couple of the girl’s friends over for a BBQ. The weather was glorious and we had the patio set out lovely for them. But it was too hot, and they ended up inside playing on the Switch. They still got to eat the BBQ food though. And they had a fun afternoon.

The evening was nice too. Graham got behind the BBQ once more to feed the adults in the house, while the kids had sandwiches. It was lovely sitting outside by then as it had cooled down just enough. I think I need some shade for the patio but I’m not sure what to get. If anyone has any tips for the best kind of shade then do let me know.
down
Wednesday was quieter although it was still hot, it was cloudy but not muggy. We had a tiny bit of rain, but no storms. Well, not outside anyway. I’m not sure what happened to the mood in the house but things got a bit heated.
Now, I’m left facing a new and different future and I’ve gone from the high of the beginning of the week to rock bottom. I’m sorry if I’m vague but I’m not even sure what’s going on myself. All I can say is that I’ve not felt this low for a long time. I’m sure it will work out in the end.
So now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Hope everything works out for you soon. Take care of yourself.
Thank you x
Oh my 🙁 I’m not sure what to say. Sending hugs xx
thanks you Karen, hugs appreciated. I’m sure things will work out, if not, well I can do a new normal. xx
Your week has been full of ups and downs. I hope your Little Man is feeling better now.

So sorry things are not good for you at the moment. Sending love and hugs. I hope things are better soon x

Life can be like that eh? Well, that sort of caught me off guard but do hope everything will work itself out. Sending virtual hugs. Glad to hear of the baby’s safe arrival.

Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear that you are having a tough time Anne. I hope whatever it is, you will overcome it and see some light at the end of the tunnel. Sending lots of love and a huge hug. xx
Oh Anne, I’m so sorry that the week has ended on such a low for you. Hope that whatever is going on can be sorted out and that things feel better soon. Sending you big hugs xx #WotW
I have seen similar linkies elsewhere and have thought, now that I’m slowing down for Summer, I might try some of these themed link parties – from the confines of my rather specifically themed blog – just for fun!
So, I may be back soon!
Coming to you from the #MMBC link party
Have a lovely day!
Sorry to read your week ended on such a low. I do hope everything is OK? Poorly kids are fun and it makes you scared to sleep at night as you just want to watch them. Love that BBQ it sounds like you got some good use out of it #WotW
