Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Peace’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – PEACE
It would be difficult to escape the news of the war in Ukraine at the moment. I could give you my views but for now I would rather just say that I’m praying it will be resolved soon and there will be peace. My heart goes out to all involved.
We have had a relatively peaceful time at home this week. Everyone seems much calmer. The youngest have been going to school and some of the school issues are being sorted. We will be in a meeting today and I’m hoping that goes well.
I’ve been getting some peace in hospital having my treatment. For three hours on Monday and Tuesday and Four and half hours on Wednesday, I got to sit around and do nothing while I have my infusions. I can recline and sleep if I wish, or listen to my audio book, or chat with the nurses. I’m looking forward to my next treatment because they are moving to a brand new, customised ward.
With tensions so high everywhere, I appreciate any peace I can get.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
I am with you on praying for peace. I thought it was just me who felt that weird peace at hospitals. Each time I have to be in (which is not often), I tell myself, well, at least I don’t have to be doing any housework or going to school. Have a good weekend.
I really hope the war in Ukraine ends soon too but I can’t see it happening, it seems to be getting worse. Those poor people, I really do feel for them.
I am glad things are good at home. I hope the meeting at school has gone well and I hope the treatment has helped a little. x
We had a quiet week too, I’m all for them.
Definitely with you on praying for peace in Ukraine. I’m glad you’ve had a fairly peaceful week. Glad that things are getting sorted with school and hope that the meeting went well. Hope that you are feeling better after your treatment last week too. #WotW
I think we are all hoping for some peace or some hope that something happens whether it will or not who dealbt it. My heart does ache like most watching the news and seeing all the war unfold by one nasty dictator X #mmbc
