Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Poorly’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Poorly
This hasn’t been the best week health wise. Graham is home and recovering from his heart attack, but he was having unusual symptoms so he did a Covid test and it came back positive. The hospital said he will be ok, just plenty of rest. It shouldn’t affect his heart or his medication.
On Tuesday I took Star to the hospital to have her catheter removed. She had to do a trial to make sure she was emptying her bladder, but she failed. So, much to her distress, the catheter was replaced and she has another two week before her next appointment. She is booked in for Urodynamic Studies so they should be able to find out what is actually going on.
On Tuesday night I started to feel unwell, and during the night so did The Little Man. We were both really sick. On Wednesday neither of us moved off the settee. On Thursday we both had positive Covid tests. The Little Man is already starting to feel better. Graham is feeling better so I am hoping that I will be too soon. At the moment I feel really poorly.
So, it’s been a very poorly week for us here. And we are really due a break from all this horrid stuff going on.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
So sorry to hear! Sometimes it’s hard to even find the right words YOu all are really going through a lot. You do deserve a break. Anyway, praying you all get well soon.
Thank you ladies, prayers are very welcome at the moment x
Oh gosh! You and your family really need to catch a break, it’s one thing after another at the moment. Sending massive love and hugs. I hope you all feel better soon and make a quick recovery. Poor Star. I am so sorry that she still has the catheter. It must be so upsetting for her. xxx
Thanks Kim, Star is taking it in her stride as always. I think we are really due some better luck in our lives now xx
Goodness that’s a lot to happen all at once. Sending a hug and hope everyone recovers very soon
So very sorry to hear that you’ve been poorly. Poor Star having to have her catheter replaced again. I hope that her appointment will help give some answers and that things will start to improve for her, and for you all, soon. Hope Graham is doing ok now. What a worrying time it’s been for you all lately. Sending much love x #WotW
