Oh, it’s so hard to write about other bloggers, especially when you are picking your favourites. I’ve been blogging for many years now and have many blogger friends, but if I’m honest, I’d be on the laptop 24/7 if I read everyone’s blogs every day. So mostly I just read the posts that interest me and keep in touch with them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
There really are some fabulous blogs out there and far to many to mention but I’m going to pick out a few that I visit regularly and tell you why I love them.
Susan is such a lovely person and her personality shines through her blog. She sometimes makes me dizzy with all the things she can cram into the week. But I always love catching up with her tales of her lovely family and her great photographs each week.
I’ve known Kim for quite a while now and I regularly read her blog. I like it because Kim is really down to earth, she talks about every day stuff and tells it like it is. She doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what she is and her personality shines through her blog. I’ve watched her two girls grow up through her blog and even though we’ve never met, she feels like a real friend. She also joins in with Word of the Week.
Word of the Week
A couple of weeks ago I took over Word of the Week, formerly run by Jocelyn from the Reading Residence. Jocelyn is someone I have met in real life and she blogs about books and stationary, two of my favourite things, amongst other things.
Because of the Word of the Week linky I have read the following blogs quite religiously on a Friday and I am so thrilled that they’ve all made the move over to my blog for the link up.
- Mummy Here and There
- Early Rising Mum
- Sunshine and Rain
- Extraordinary Chaos
- The Beesley Buzz
- Adventures in Websterland
These blogs really are worth a read….but there are a couple missing because I want to give them a special mention.
I’ve known Louise for a long time too and watched her little girls grow and followed her through her pregnancy with her new addition, a little boy. Sadly Louise lost her daughter, Jessica, this year and her heartfelt posts have been both incredibly sad and incredibly inspiring. I could never understand what Louise has been through, but through her writing I can feel so much more.
Cheryl is another blogger who links to Word of the Week but I’ve given her a special mention because I love her story telling. She is incredibly creative both in crafts and writing. I just know I’m in for a treat when I click on her blog.
I’ve only recently discovered Enda’s blog and he only posts once a week, but it’s worth the wait. Enda writes in the way that I write my blog posts in my head. I mean, when I’m lying in bed unable to sleep and I come up with this fabulous idea for a post and the words swim freely around in my head. Then the next day I fetch out the laptop and the idea just doesn’t translate so well. Enda, however, possesses the skill I lack, he knows how to story tell and he does it really well.
Also a more recent discovery, I love Tracey’s blog because of the things she writes about. She does some amazing crochet patterns and I love to crochet. She also writes some really funny parodies of songs, which make me smile. Also, Tracey loves all things steam punk and although it’s not something I’ve never really got into I do find it all really fascinating and I love to see her photos. Basically, I love Tracey’s blog because it’s full of really interesting stuff. She also does a linky on Mondays called ‘Mix it Up’, so do check it out if you link to meet other bloggers.
Next up we are off to Greece, Zakynthos to be precise. This is where Deb lives and loves to share her life stories as well as some stunning photography. I’ve been reading Deb’s blog for a while now and she’s a real friendly blogger with a colourful life on a beautiful island. She also has a linky on Tuesday’s called ‘Keeping it Real.’
Finally, I’d like to mention Lucy’s blog simply because of her gentle parenting advice. I have been ‘gentle parenting’ for many years and I’m fully on board with the concept. It’s great that Lucy is taking the time to show others how it’s done. Great advice well written. And guess what, Lucy also co-hosts a linky on Fridays called Blogcrush. It’s a lovely linky where you post one of your own blog posts and one of another blogger’s posts that you have loved. How sweet is that!
Bloggers Are the Best
This post has been both difficult and really easy to write. Difficult because there are so many other brilliant bloggers out there that I just don’t have time to mention, or maybe I could do a feature, ten favourite bloggers a day for month! Do you see my dilemma?
It’s been easy to write because there are so many brilliant bloggers out there and the ones I have mentioned really do deserve mentioning.
So, if I haven’t mentioned you, it’s not because I don’t love your blog. But it goes without saying, if I’m reading and commenting or interacting on Social media then I love your blog.
