I often show you photos of the trees over the fence of the garden, and today they looked gorgeous under a blue sky. But, then I turned 180 degrees and took another photo to show you the opposite side of the picture.
First up, the lovely trees as they looked this morning.
They are not my trees, they line the canal that runs alongside my house. We live at the end of the street. We get lots of birds and in the evening you may even see a bat.
Then turn 180 degrees and you can see the rest of my view…..houses, a large block of flats, currently with scaffolding and even the sky was cloudy. I’m happy to say that the clouds have passed over now and we have sunshine. I’m less happy that this had brought out the neighbours and the noise is way louder and much less nicer than the bird song.
If you look at the windows you can see the trees reflected back. I know which side I prefer to look at, but it just goes to show that there are nearly always an opposite side of the picture. I long to live somewhere more isolated, with lots more trees and maybe even a beach nearby. Maybe one day.
Bank Holiday
It’s the bank holiday and half term and the weather is going to be nice for a few days at least. Graham has been out in the garden and we have a few more things to do that I’ve been dying to get done but the weather has been awful. Then on Tuesday we are having a BBQ for the kids and a couple of their friends. They don’t feel ready to go off out yet so meeting up in the garden seems a better option for now.
And just in case you read my Word of the Week post, I can confirm that my niece has given birth to a healthy little boy. My brother’s 7th grandchild.
The view of your trees is beautiful but I get what you mean that there is always an opposite view which sometimes isn’t as pretty.

I know which view I prefer too! It’s amazing how much these things can differ and generally we all prefer to show the nicer side of things.
I hope the barbecue for the kids’ friends went well and congratulations to your niece and your brother. Your brother has certainly got a lot of grandchildren!
