Hasn’t it been hot this week!! I’d have loved to have been at the sea side and seeing beach views like this, but sadly this is a photo from our holiday earlier this year when the weather was not so kind, but not too bad either.
This is a photo taken by my eldest son. He didn’t take many photos but I’ve been asking him to share since we came back and yesterday he figured out how he could send them to my phone. He sent me a lovely video of when he went and stood on the pier and just watched the sea.
I think he liked the weird Alice in Wonderland Circus that we saw as he took a lot of photos of that. He also took a photo of the statue which was in the middle of a traffic island. It is of George III and is rather impressive.
I found this on Wikipedia:
Weymouth was much enjoyed by the King George III who would often take holidays there – a total of fourteen separate occasions, the first in 1789. With his patronage of the town, the king changed the fortune of Weymouth, and a lot of the buildings along the seafront are mostly of Georgian architecture during the king’s reign.

I love Weymouth too but I’ve a way to go to catch up with the King’s 14 visits.
The weather has been lovely over the past week but a little too hot for me. I would have loved to have been by the beach.
Fantastic photos. x
Your Sunday snapshot of beach views is breathtaking. It’s like a moment of serenity captured in a photograph. Thanks for sharing this slice of tranquility; it’s a reminder of the beauty nature offers.
That’s very interesting about Weymouth and King George. I can beat his visits to Weymouth with my visits to Padstow. I think I’ve probably been 26 times!
I think I was on holiday the same week that you were and I was definitely wishing I could have been on holiday over the last few days because the weather was so much better!
There’s nothing quite like the beach to blow the cobwebs away! Thank you for linking up and for sharing your snaps with #MySundaySnapshot.
