This week I was sent a Simba Pillow to review. Your choice of pillow is important for a restful nights sleep and with Simba there are plenty of reasons to help you sleep well. I was sent the Simba Hybrid Pillow which has a nano cube inner so it can be adjusted to suit your needs.
Here are a few facts about the Simba Hybrid Pillow
- Nanocube Technology – The pillow has an inner bag of super soft and squishy cubes which can be removed or added to make the pillow exactly how you like it. It even comes with a little bag to put your extra cubes in when you are not using them.
- Stratos Temperature Control – the design is patented and it means there is a cotton cover with a heat control layer which keeps the pillow at the perfect temperature. It draws away heat and keeps you cool.
- It’s better for the planet – the nanocubes are free from pollutants and are bio-degradable. They are also made from recycled PET bottles. The gorgeous cotton cover complies with the Better Cotton Initiative.
- The pillow has an outer sleeve of recycled PET bottles and is also made to bio degrade when disposed of. It is breathable, allowing plenty of airflow through the pillow.
- It arrives in a recyclable package and a recycled storage bag.
My Thoughts on the Simba Pillow
When opening the package I was delighted with the soft feel of the pillow and it looked like a quality product. I was bemused by the cube interior but you really cannot feel them, it just feels incredibly soft. I couldn’t wait to try it out.
As regular readers will know, I suffer from a chronic illness and my pillow has to supply the right amount of support to help prevent neck and shoulder pain.
The pillow as it came felt luxurious but after an hours sleep I was finding it was becoming uncomfortable. It’s nice to sink into a pillow but I usually have something much flatter.
I gently opened the inner bag and removed some of the nanocubes until I was happy with the height of the pillow. The cubes where stuffed into the supplied bag and I guess that if I need to spruce up the pillow at a later date they will be there kept safe.
Then I slept much better and I woke up refreshed and pain free.
I love the soft feel of the case and the gentleness of the nanocubes. I like that the cover is breathable and cool and it felt lovely.
And I could rest easy knowing that my pillow was made from recycled materials and was fully bio-degradable for when I need to dispose of it…which I hope will not be for a very long time!
You can purchase a Simba pillow for £109 on the Simba Website. If you buy two you can save 25% (that’s £163.50) Each pillow measures 45cm by 70cm and as I’ve explained the height/bulkiness is fully adjustable.
I was sent the pillow for review but all thoughts and photos are my own. You can read my disclosure policy here.
Do you own any Simba products? I would definitely consider getting more. As well as pillows you can buy duvets, mattresses, mattress toppers and even divan bed base.
Night Night zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ohh! This does sound like a fancy pillow! The nanocubes are such a good idea so you can get it exactly how you want it.
