It was drizzling with rain and I was making my way up the path. I was alone and the walk from the car park was proving a little difficult. I decided to wait for Graham who was moving the car to another parking place.
Then the sun came out for an instance and I wondered what this path would look like in the summer. Would there be lots of flowers among those leaves? I’m sure it would look so pretty. I thought it looked pretty anyway so I lifted up my camera and balanced myself on one stick while I took a photo.
The photo is wonky. I could have edited it to make it straight, but I’ve not edited it at all. I think it captures that moment. My wonky moment on a path waiting for help because I couldn’t carry on. If I’d not stopped would I have noticed the door at all, would I have thought about the flowers, would I have appreciated the small burst of sunshine amid the rain.
I wasn’t heading towards the door. The entrance to the building was directly to the left where three steps led up to a PVC door with a window. That’s why I couldn’t manage to go on. It was the steps that prevented me, something that you can’t even see here.
The next hour or so was okay before the day went drastically downhill with a bang. But that’s a story for another day. When bad things happen it’s hard to focus on the good. This photo is the opposite of that, I saw something nice even though my path was much tougher.
