Now, you may or may not know this, but I’m an older mum. My younger three were all born in my 40’s and while most don’t turn a hair at this some people are a little surprised. Take the phone call I’ve just had, after asking my age she asked the ages of my children. Then she asked for my age again as she thought she’d heard wrong! Luckily, only once have I been asked if I was one of the kid’s mum or grandma. I wasn’t offended, I am old enough to be her grandma and my eldest daughter is old enough to be her mum, no point in getting offended.
However, I do still feel young inside and I don’t want my kids thinking their mum is an oldie just yet, so I like to keep myself looking younger on the outside. Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with fairly nice skin, not too many wrinkles just yet or age spots. Of course the first place to go is around the eyes so I was happy to review the Ageless Derma Eye Cream with Retinol and Vitamin K.
Unfortunately, I have always had deep set eyes with dark circles, it’s hereditary, my mum had it and so has eldest daughter. Nothing I have ever tried has helped. When I was younger I’d cover up the dark circles with concealer but they were still there underneath. So when I saw that the Ageless Derma Eye Cream was specifically for dark circles I didn’t really expect much result.
The package arrived and I tried it out that very evening. The following morning I could already see a difference. My eyes looked brighter and I didn’t have my usual luggage (bags) I have been using the cream regularly now for two week and I am really pleased with the way it has improved the look of my eyes, almost completely eradicating the dark circles.
The cream also claims to tackle wrinkles and crows feet. Sadly, I’ve only seen a little improvement in these areas but I have only been using the cream for two weeks, maybe they need a little more time. I’m not disappointed, I’d be happy to purchase the cream purely for my dark circles, if it does eventually improve my wrinkles then it will be a bonus.
The cream comes packaged in a stylish black box and the container is black and silver. The cream comes out in a pump action but you really only need a very tiny amount. One blob on the end of your fingertip is enough to do both eyes without leaving any sensation. I apply a little more at night which looks and feels a little greasier, but I love the way it makes my eyes look and feel in the morning. I used the product every other day for the first week and then every day for the second, and will continue using every day morning and night. Although I do believe that I will get the same results just by using at night.
The Science Bit: Ageless Derma Eye cream comes in a 15 ml bottle and contains Retinol, the purest form of Vitamin A, with Vitamins C, E and K to soften the appearance of dark circles, smooth fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture around the delicate eye area.
