You may have noticed that I’ve mentioned the MAD blog awards a couple of times over the last month or so?
Well, I’m astounded to report that I’ve made it to the finals!!
My first reaction was a loud squeal. The second reaction was to double check I was on the list. Then I told Facebook…well, priorities! Then I told the rest of my family that had come running when I squealed. Then I checked the site again to make sure I hadn’t disappeared off the list. I’m pretty sure I’ll be checking it a few more times yet.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for nominating me and getting me through to the finals in September. Voting opens today and I’m up against some fantastic blogs in the Best School Days Blog category. Please take a moment to vote for your favourites.
I was lucky enough to attend the Mad Blog Awards finals two years ago
And I met Dr Ranj…who is shorter than me!
I’m so excited to be going again. This time I’m hoping that it will be a little less stressful.
Last time I had moved house the day before travelling up to London. I’d been living in the same home for 24 years and had no idea just how stressful moving could be. The new house was a complete mess of boxes and no one knew where anything was when I waved goodbye to my family on the Friday morning.
It was really hard to switch off and enjoy the occasion, but I think I managed it eventually. It’s hard not to when you have good food, nice wine, fun entertainment and you are surrounded by lovely people.
So, thank you once again for nominating my blog x
If you’ve not visited my blog before then the links at the top of the page will show you more of what it’s about.
I have a regular weekly linky called Kids in the Kitchen and under Monday Musings you will find posts that I have written which are a little more personal.
My Little Zebra will take you to my other blog which I set up to log my daughter’s journey since she woke up with a broken neck in 2013.
My Pregnancies are static posts of my pregnancy and birth stories which are a little different and which I wrote to help others who may experience similar.
I am a mum of five children, two are adults and are not written about in this blog at their request, the other three are the Little Man aged 4, Boo aged 7 and Star (my zebra) aged 9.
