This week has been about flowers. First up I bought some daffodils in the shopping so I could have flowers in my window. The kitchen is the front of the house and it’s nice to have something pretty to brighten up the window.
Crocus
My friend bought me a pot for Christmas which contained some bulbs (which I think are crocus, I’ve forgotten!) I had to put the bag of soil in the pot and plant the bulbs then keep them in a dark place (watering them occasionally) until March….Well, it’s March now so I’ve brought them out to put in the window and hopefully they will grow….fingers crossed. I already see a bit of a sprouting going on. If it fails, at least I have a cute ceramic pot.
Luxury Bouquet
From shop bought daffodils, to bulbs in a pot to a huge bouquet which I was gifted in return for telling you about a competition. (do take a look, it’s still open for a few more days.)
This bouquet is on my sideboard in the living room so I can look at it all day long.
Flowers in the Window
Wow, look at you now
Travis – Flowers in the Window
Flowers in the window
It’s such a lovely day
And I’m glad you feel the same
‘Cause to stand up out in the crowd
You are one in a million
And I love you so
Let’s watch the flowers grow
When I first met Graham we listened to a lot of music together and he introduced me to Travis. He couldn’t believe I’d never been to a live concert and we booked tickets to see Travis Live back in 2002. Flowers in the Window was one of our favourite songs and we chose it as our ‘first dance’ song for our wedding.
I hope my flowers have brightened up your day as they do mine.

My daffodils didn’t arrive with my shopping yesterday. Hmmf but I am going to go to the shop tomorrow to get myself some.
Good luck with your crocus. I do hope it grows.

That luxury bouquet is absolutely gorgeous! I love spring bouquets with iris. #MMBC
Flowers in the window is such a great song and a lovely choice for your first dance at your wedding. I love bunches of daffodils at this time of year. Lovely to see the crocus start to grow too. #MMBC

Wow, such gorgeous flowers! But I love the daffodils too. Hope you find out what’s in the pot soon 🙂 #MMBC
These flowers are beautiful. I love it when spring flowers appear in the garden – it’s a wonderful sign that winter is over :o)

Your pictures of flowers did brighten my day. Daffodils are my favorite. They look so bright and smell heavenly! They remind me of spring, even when it’s cold and blustery like it is here today. I think you are going to get some flowers in your flowerpot. It looks like things are happening. Have faith! 🙂

I’m slightly envious of your lovely flowers. I’m not allowed flowers inside, as they set my husband off, so I am planting more in the garden to make up for it. I shall just enjoy the photos of yours in the meantime. Beautiful. #mmbc
Oh I do love fresh flowers in the house, they cheer the place up #sundaysnapshot
How lovely! The flowers have brightened up my day, as have the lyrics and the story of your song and your first concert.
I usually go to a lot of concerts and can’t wait for them to be back, although I still can’t get my head around being in such a crowded place!
