Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘pain’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Pain
I’m scribbling this as quickly as I can. I’ve not spent much time online this week and I am struggling. Life is being a real pain at the moment, not just for me but for my children and Graham too. From Abscesses to IBS, Anxiety to Fits, between us we’ve had it all. Graham’s main pain is all the driving he has had to do, he picked up Boo and the Little Man from School the other day and it was an hour and a half before we all got home…a real pain!
I’ve been having my hospital treatment this week and things have not gone too well. On Tuesday I was particularly ill, One minute I was having my infusions, the next (ok couple of hours later) I woke up lying down covered with heated blankets and my treatment was over. I’ve been in a lot of pain ever since and I’m not sure if I’ve hurt myself while fitting, or something else is wrong. They seem to think it’s the former, I hope they are right because then I know this pain will get better.
I can’t talk much about the other ailments because they are not mine, but a few members of my family have suffered a lot this week. And I have to try and deal with it while suffering myself. The joys of motherhood!
I’m also trying to fill out a form which has to be posted by today. (I may just have to ring and ask for more time) It’s 44 pages long and I have 20 pages of extra ‘evidence’ that has to be signed and documented to go along with it. Trust me, it’s a real pain!
I hope your week has been better because now it’s over to you. What word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Oh no Anne… we can only imagine the PAIN. Wish we could help. And please do let us know if there’s anything we can do. We can’t drive long distances at all though. In the meantime, we send virtual hugs. There’s next week to look forward to.
aww thanks ladies. I’m sure things will get better. I’ll probably just sleep the weekend away and next week will be better. x
Sending love and hugs. It sounds like you have all had a rotten week. So sorry your treatment didn’t go well. I do hope you feel better soon. Good luck with the form you have to fill out. x

Thank you Karen xx
Oh Anne, I’m so sorry that you’ve had such a tough week and that things didn’t go so well with your treatment this week. Hope that the pain eases off for you all very soon and that you manage to get some time to rest and recuperate over the weekend. Hope you managed to get the form filled in too so that is one less pain to worry about. Sending big gentle virtual hugs your way. #WotW
Thank You, I’m feeling a little better today. I still haven’t finished the form though, I might have to call tomorrow and ask for more time.
Forms are such a pain, aren’t they?! So long-winded.
It sounds like you’ve all been in the wars. I hope everyone is feeling much better now. Sending big hugs. xx

Sorry to read you have been in pain, and poorly too. I hope you are feeling better now. That driving time doesn’t sound fun at all. It feels like there is so much traffic on the roads at the moment. You have got to love those long forms! I hope you are feeling better #WotW
