Sunday is the day I share a photo of my choice. It can be anything from a flower to food, scenery to cats. Anything goes. This week I’m sharing photos of my two youngest enjoying some virtual reality fun.
If you are here from Blogtober21 then do check out the photo sharing linky over on Rachel’s blog. There is a badge below too.
First up is The Little Man. They were both playing Beat Sabre which is a music game and they have to hit the blocks with the sabres. It looks extremely hard to do and they got plenty of exercise. The view on the headset is a lot more real than the one we see on the screen.
My eldest daughter had to bring her computer and Oculas headset down for them to play. You can see my daughter’s computer in the left hand corner of this photo. She built it herself from scratch.
The second photo is Boo enjoying a game. She plays music games like this all the time so she was really good, but it took her a while to actually get into moving anything other than her wrists. She’s so laid back.
Have you ever tried virtual reality? It really is a strange experience. I had a go once, I sat on a chair and enjoyed some amazing scenery. Then I was able to build a snowman right in front of me. I don’t think I’d get on with most of the games though. I don’t have the mobility for starters.
My eldest daughter plays scary games along with her friends from all over the world. They meet up together in virtual reality and go and fight zombies and such like. I’d be terrified!
I’m also hosting a linky party for Blogtober 21 if you want to add your post. Just click this link or the badge below.
I tried VR for the first time at the Arcade place we went to and it does feel so real. It sounds like they have great fun with it. I would be happy building snowmen but not playing the zombie games. That’s way too scary for me. x

I found the snowmen really relaxing, I was also sitting on a balcony with the most amazing 360 view. It was lovely, but I couldn’t do the zombies either. x
Great fun! Well done to your daughter for building that computer btw! My son occasionally convinces me to have fun on his VR, he chooses things he knows I’ll like, such as seeing sharks underwater or visiting a safari. I do enjoy it when I have a go actually. He loves Zombie games too and it’s been great training as he’ll be playing a Zombie at a role-play event for his job next month (at a theme park) lol xxx
oooh that sounds exciting!
They do look funny but I am sure they were having a great time 🙂
I’ve never actually plaed a virtual reality game although I’d like to give a go. #MMBC
Not done it myself but an adult friend of ours loves it.

Haha this looks lots of fun X #mysundaysnapshot
It looks like they’re having a brilliant time! I’ve never tried virtual reality myself. The kids don’t do it either. Only one of them is interested in gaming, and that’s mainly Pokemon!
My son has an Oculus Quest 2 and we also have Beat Sabre – we all play it and LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
