Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘December’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – December
Where did the year go? How can it be December already? A sure sign of getting old when the years just fly by. And yes, I’m a whole year older than I was before last week’s Word of the Week too.
I had a fabulous birthday weekend, it was great getting to see the lights turn on and then going for a meal with my family. Then home for birthday cake. Sunday I spent relaxing and regaining my spoons.
On Tuesday we were back at the hospital with Star, but things didn’t go to plan and without going into detail we will be waiting to try again another day. We did see the famous Dr Belal who has been on our local news and even This Morning. He is a super surgeon who was involved in a freak accident when a tree landed on his bicycle, and he was left paralyzed. He is now back at work in a special standing wheelchair. He seems like a really amazing guy and so humble.
On Wednesday I had a trip out to get some advent calendars and a few bits and pieces, it was nice to go around the shops.
Then it was December! I guess the next step will be to put the Christmas decorations up. We already have our Advent calendars up and a card holder which so far holds one card. Don’t blink! Christmas will soon be here.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
This year has flown over!
I am glad you had a fab birthday weekend.
So sorry things didn’t go to plan with Star, the poor thing. It sounds like she has a fantastic doctor. x
I can’t believe we’re whizzing through December and are at the end of the year already. This year feels like it has gone by quite quickly. So glad you had a lovely birthday weekend. Sorry to hear that things didn’t go to plan with Star’s hospital appointment. Hope that the next one will be better. #WotW
