Just one week ago today it was Christmas Eve! It already seems like such a long time ago. I hadn’t been to see the light up of the Bournville Christmas tree this year. Boo and her friend went but I decided it was too cold and wet, and it gets really crowded. But I felt I’d missed out, and I hadn’t had any reason to pass through Bournville before Christmas so I decided to go on Christmas Eve. We went to pick up some presents from my Mother-in-law’s house and I took these photos on the way back.
It is truly a magnificent tree and always a joy to see, I’m glad I didn’t miss it this year. I usually have to pass it on the way to the hospital but my treatment this year was the week before it was lit. I’m back in hospital again next week.
I didn’t take too many photos this Christmas. I left the sorting of the presents to my eldest kids as I went to bed early Christmas Eve. Then in the morning, I just didn’t bother taking many photos although, surprisingly, everyone was up quite early. (Not early early, like when they were little, but before 9am!) It was a lovely peaceful morning and everyone was happy with their presents.
I did take this photo of the Little Man with one of his presents off his big brother…any guesses as to what it could be? It looks a bit Suss to me 😉
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Wow! 2024 can’t come fast enough for me, I’m done with 2023.
So pretty! Glad you got to see it. My guess on the gift… boxers? lol. All the best for next year and I hope the treatment goes well.
Christmas does seem like such a long time ago. I am glad you got to see the tree.
I think that might be an Among Us plushie, my eldest had a very similar shaped present. hehehe
Happy New Year! Wishing you and your family all the best for 2024. x
hahaha, you got it. It was an Among Us Plushie and he hasn’t put it down yet. Thanks for always reading and commenting Kim x
