I was sent a mixed case of 16 Trek Bars to review and they were a great hit in our house.
Trek Bars are from Natural Balance Foods and come in four different flavours Berry Burst, Banana Blast, Cocoa Chaos and Peanut Power. Made with all natural ingredients they are healthy snacks suitable for breakfast or to keep you on the go when having a busy day, or working out.
Each Trek Energy Bar is:
- One of your five a day
- Made with no preservatives, colours or chemicals of any kind
- Packed with 10g of protein
- Between 89-98% saturated fat free
The protein bars are also fairly low calorie and are dairy, wheat and gluten free.
So that’s a summery of what they are but what are they like?
Well, chewy bars of yumminess would be my description. I did manage to try one of each before my greedy lot gobbled them up, and I can’t say I disliked any of them. My favourite had to be the Banana Blast but the competition was tight. If I’m honest, when you open the packet they don’t look all that appealing, sort of brown and boring. One bite, however, and the flavour bursts through. They are certainly as tasty as a bar of chocolate and a lot more healthy. Also, they have the ability to fill that gap so you don’t need to keep snacking.
You can buy Trek online directly from Natural Balance Foods or you can find them in Holland and Barrett, Morrisons, and in Boots as part of their Meal Deal.Disclaimer: This post is a review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Wow – Those look awesome! I am always on the lookout for new bars like that to try as Miss T adores 9bar and similar and D loves all types of cereal bar. I love that they are wholefood bars and full of really good ingredients. Definitely one to try – will look out for them in stores. x
WE had a mixed reaction from the kids…Star loves Nakd bars which are from the same company but she just won't try anything new, Boo liked them, but the Little Man is getting to be my worst yet for food 🙁 We do have four adults in the house though and they were fighting over them!
