I couldn’t think what to write in my weekly post this week. It’s not that I haven’t done anything, but I haven’t done anything exciting or interesting even.
I went shopping, to an actual supermarket. It was a big deal for me, but probably not for anyone else.
I looked after a poorly Star for a couple of days and she didn’t go to school. Not exactly interesting news, we all get poorly sometimes.
Each morning I’ve been teaching the Little Man, trying to keep him up to date with his school work. It’s fun, I love teaching him, and this week we introduced learning Spanish too. Not very exciting news though, especially as my readers already know that I home educate him.
I’ve done loads of crochet, finished off two scarfs and worked on my blanket. I’m hoping to get the blanket done in time for the cold weather, and the scarfs are Christmas gifts so I can’t even show you a photo. Perhaps a little exciting for me, but not for you.
I’m not so sick anymore, the pain has eased and I’ve had a little more energy. I did visit my GP but it was only for a check on my usual medication. Even that was pretty mundane.
So, my week has been lacking interest or excitement. My week has been mundane. Yes, I’ve had new curtains on the landing and we had a BBQ yesterday because the weather was so nice. Graham also finished painting the bathroom and I finished reading another book. The more I think about it the more I feel happy and content with the week, but for writing about it…well, it’s just life isn’t it.
Come back next week, I’m sure it will be much more exciting.

Some weeks are just like that aren’t they – nothing particularly exciting to write about, just lots of ordinary everyday things happening. I’m glad that you are feeling better and have a little more energy and hope that Star is feeling better too. Hope Little Man is enjoying learning Spanish – I really need to get back to learning French with Sophie now that she’s no longer able to go to the toddler French classes. #WotW

How exciting for your boy to be learning Spanish. Ellie has just started learning it at secondary school and she loves it.

I’d say mundane is a good kind of week. Not sure mine has been earth shattering either, but sometimes those are the happiest weeks. Good to get out to the supermarket. I do most of mine online, so always surprised by new products I find when I go in. I’m impressed by your handmade gifts progress. I must put mine into action. Hope you have a good week. #wotw

It’s great to hear you are feeling better Anne, the boost in energy must have been very welcome indeed. I think sometimes you just need a mundane week to recover or prepare for the busy weeks. It sounds like you’ve made lots of progress in the house, a fresh lick of paint does wonders doesn’t it. Hope you all have a nice weekend x
I find a lot of comfort in the mundane! No, you might not be doing anything overly exciting, but it often also means a calm and stress free week too which is always lovely 🙂 #WotW

I always think my weeks are mundane and of no interest to others, all I’ve been doing recently is packing shoe boxes with christmas gifts, sounds exciting but to me it’s just routine #keepingitreal

Hi Anne, I actually like your mundane week. It’s what #keepingitreal is all about. You’ve done loads of crochet, which is nice. I’m going to be getting mine back out again now the weather has cooled.
