Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week, a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like.
There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. Do try to stick to the theme of summing your week up. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix (formerly Stumble.) Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
My Word of the Week
The girls went back to school this week but I still have the Little Man at home until Monday. He will be going back to a brand new school building. He will also be starting swimming lessons with the school, twice a week for the next four weeks. I’m really pleased he will be learning to swim. I’ve never really had the chance to take him Swimming. So that’s two new experiences for the Little Man.
I have started a new book this week, I’m now reading The Hoarder, by Jess Kidd. I’m a few chapters in and it seems a bit eerie. I’ve just finished Three Things About Elsie, by Joanna Cannon.
I’m also on the finishing touches of my latest crochet project, a beautiful spring blanket, so I’m looking for something new. I did buy the wool for a summer shawl but now I can’t find the pattern, so frustrating.
So, now it’s over to you. What word or phrase sums up your week?

Hope Little Man enjoys his swimming lessons. I keep meaning to book some for Sophie. The spring blanket sounds like a lovely project. How frustrating that you can’t find the pattern for the shawl though, hope it turns up. Thanks for hosting #WotW
A summer shawl is next on my list. I have everything ready, once I’ve finished my current knit. I suspect you’ll have yours done faster than mine, even though you need to find the pattern first! Hope Little Man enjoys his swimming lessons. It’s great that schools take them. I’ve started a new book and am enjoying it for once. Always on the look out for recommendations, so taking note of your two books. Thank you for hosting. Hope you have a good weekend.
Hope your son enjoys swimming. We are taking our grandkids swimming tonight. they are little fish. Once they get into the water, it’s tough to get them out!
Ohh! That will be all new for your Little Man. I hope he gets on OK with the swimming and at the new school.
All the new things sounds great. I hope the pattern for the shawl turns up x
Awww all the best for little man with his swimming great skill to learn. I have never heard of that title but shall look into it as I love a good thrilling book X #wotw
