I’ve been recording some of the funny memories that have been coming up on my Facebook timeline. I do hope they continue but I have a feeling that now my kids are older the funny stuff will start to disappear. Or, they won’t want me to share it.
Anway, here’s my latest funny memories from over the years.
2010 Politics
Star points to tv while news is on and says ‘that’s David Cameron’ I said who is he then? She says ‘the prime minister’ so I say what does he do, she says ‘he watches all the children and tells Santa when they are naughty’…ohhh David Cameron stoops to a new low!
I remember this so well. Star would have been just over five years old. I was so impressed that she knew who the Prime Minisiter was at the time. Then she has to add her funny spin on it. I knew they were in power for some reason. But then again, the less said about David Cameron the better in my opinion.
2011 Funny Memories Nursery Sassiness
walking back from nursery with Boo I asked her what she had been doing today, she said “don’t wanna talk, just wanna walk!” Well, it shut me up!
You know those days when you’ve missed your little one and you’re keen to talk about their day at nursery or school? Well, this time my little 3 year old certainly put me in my place. What happens in nursery stays in nursery!
2012 Funny Memories Christmas Biscuits
Star is running a stall at the school xmas fayre tomorrow, I asked her what she was selling….” biscuits, we’ve got red and white biscuits, xmas pudding biscuits and burnt biscuits” lol, guess which ones I won’t be buying.
Always the honest one, I can vouch that she was correct and there were indeed some dodgy looking biscuits on sale on her stall. It was still a fun day though, and the Christmas pudding biscuits were not that bad.
2013 The Search for Jesus
Took The Little Man with me to the cemetery to visit the family and we went inside the ‘very’ old church. He walked in, looked around and said in a very loud voice…”well, where is Jesus then?”
The Little Man would have been 3 years old when this happened. He went to church with me quite regularly at the time, but it was a small family church. The church in this story is over 200 years old and I guess the impressiveness of it prompted him to ask about the Big Man.
2015 Funny Memories The Theatre trip
Boo has just asked if it’s going to be in 4D
This comment was accompanied by a photo of the stage. We’d been to the theatre before but I guess Boo had been too young to take it in. Or maybe she thought we were going to see a movie. But yes, it was a 4D performance as there was audience participation as well. We actually went to see Treasure Island and got to meet the cast afterwards.

I love the thought of a child walking into church and asking where Jesus is? A church is somewhere so unusual as a child. Such a great place to explore history, as well as faith! #MMBC
WE had some comments in the cemetary too, probably not the sort of thing I’d mention here but it certainly is strange the way young minds work sometimes.

These are hilarious! I’m going to have to write down when my son says his funny things so I don’t forget when I’m older #ordinarymoments
You should definitely do it. I get mine from my Facebook memories. I’ve been on Facebook 11 years now so I just collect them in notepad until I have enough to compile a post.

Those are all too funny! Kids certainly saying the funniest things sometimes.
They like to make me giggle anyway 🙂

These are so cute and funny – probably best to avoid the burnt biscuits!
I used to write my daughter’s funny sayings down and we had a good laugh about them when I found them in the summer.

I have always done this. I even have a whole selection of stories from my older kids, but I don’t talk about them on my blog, it’s a shame because they are just as hilarious.

They really do, I think Boo is the funniest, but it’s great when I come across the funny things the other two have said as well.
This is such a good idea to remember those little moments. My kids say some of the funniest things and I often wish I wrote them down! #OrdinaryMoments
It’s never too late to start 🙂
I love remembering the funny things the children have said – it’s lovely that you’ve made this record of them! x
Yes, we still tease them about some of the things they’ve said but having a record means we don’t forget things too. x
Haha! These are brilliant! Love the burnt biscuits hehe.
My two always say funny things. I remember being in a shop the once and asking Jayden what he would like to drink and he said Guinness! (He knew his grandad likes that) He was only 4. The whole shop had a giggle. x
That reminds me of when my friends 4 year old daughter went to the bar with me while on holiday and asked for lemonade on the rocks!
Awww these are so sweet and funny. I love recording the things my kids say xx #ordinarymoments
