My cousin came for a quick visit the other day and brought me a gorgeous bunch of roses and a lovely candle. Soon we’ll be tucking into our tins of Roses chocolates, but for now I’m enjoying the inedible ones which have brought some sunshine into my room.
I know there are some Christmas decorations around, but it’s nice to have something so colourful and beautiful to enjoy and not Christmassy. My Mom would always say “This time next week it’ll all be over.” I hated that but sometimes you need to be reminded that Christmas is just one day, and although it’s great to celebrate, in these uncertain times it’s best to do it safely.
I had my booster jab yesterday and it made me feel so ill. I’ve not had any reaction to either of the other two Covid jabs apart from a slightly sore arm and a little fatigue. This time I felt so tired and sick all day, and I had an awful night, getting up at one point to be rather ill in the bathroom. I’m feeling a little better today but still sore, sick and tired. I’m hoping it will pass soon and keep reminding myself it’s better than having Covid.
I hope you enjoy my splash of colour with my roses this week and I wish all my Sunday Snapshot visitors a very Merry Christmas.
In last week’s post I was looking a lot more Christmassy!
They are so pretty. What a lovely gift from your cousin.
That’s great that you’ve had your booster, so sorry you haven’t felt great. I always think the more you react to the vaccine the more it’s working. x
I hope you are right Kim, I’m feeling proper scared atm. I’m not leaving the house again until after Christmas, apart from one trip to the cemetery where I won’t be mingling (unless there are few ghosts around!)
Such pretty roses x #mysundaysnapshot
Thank you Sam x
What a beautiful bouquet! Thanks so much for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot. Have a great Christmas and a great new year!
What lovely colours! I do hope you recovered quickly from the booster jab side effects.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas too. x
