I don’t go over the top with my Christmas decorations but it’s really beginning to look like Christmas in my home now. I’ve seen some lovely home tours but with household members who do not wish me to share our home on my blog I can only give you a sneak peak. Last week I showed you my Christmas Tree. This week I want to show you some more of my decorations.
This Father Christmas was given to me by my Mother many years ago. She thought my little girls would love it and they did. It used to light up and play Christmas tunes but somewhere along the way we lost the plug. But he still looks great.
Once upon a time I would go to town with my decorations, but now I just keep it to the living room and hallway. We have a door wreath but we keep it on the wall just inside the door. We have a garland which adorns our stair bannister. I don’t put decorations in my kitchen but I do have some lights in the window as the kitchen is at the front of the house.
In my living room I have many decorations as well as my Christmas tree. Here is a little collage.
I made the Crochet Christmas tree a few years ago and I’ve been meaning to make a new one but I’ve not got around to it. We have a few Christmas cards already, it’s not going to be so many now I don’t have a child in primary school. I have a sideboard which I try to make Christmassy, I have two large Christmas tree candles (which were also my Mum’s) but I never light them. I also have a ceramic angel (Mum’s again) which was part of a pair but one got broken last year. Then we have Mr and Mrs Nutcracker which light up. The stockings we have had many years and I used to hang them above our fireplace. We don’t have a fireplace anymore so they hang above the radiator 🙂 I sometimes remember to put a little gift in them. We often forget there is a little gift in them until I take down the decorations. On the walls I have garlands over my mirror, a decorative plaque, and seven advent calendars. Then in the corner we have a star garland. Last year I couldn’t reach to take it down and I think it ended up staying there until about March!
We have patio doors and bought some window clings which the kid’s had fun sticking on. We also have light up golden lamp that plays jingle bells and Christmas themed house decoration on the shelf. Boo painted a big ceramic heart with Merry Christmas and in the middle of our coffee table is the large ceramic Father Christmas plate that Graham painted.
Aww! What fab decorations.
It is lovely how some of your decorations have been passed down from your mum. x
How lovely to have a decoration passed down from your mum. We only properly decorate our kitchen / living area but I also wrap tinsel around the banisters.

I love your Christmas decorations, especially the crocheted Christmas tree. I love that some of your decorations were your mums and have been passed down. We’ve not yet got ours up but are hoping to do so this week! #MMBC

we don’t have nearly as much Christmas decorations as we should but everything we have has meaning. Those are the best anyway #wedblogshare
What a lovely selection of decorations, with some special memories.
We seem to have rather a lot of decorations now as we buy something new most years. We’re running out of space for them!
Such traditional and cute decorations, Thanks so much for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
