Today I’m sharing an unedited photo from my garden taken a couple of days ago on a cold morning. The trees looked so spooky in the morning light. It looks more like night than day.
So, I’ve not really much else to share photo wise, it’s like we are in a time warp at the moment. My eldest daughter was on her way to work (in a hospital) on Friday morning, when my eldest son appeared, looking really ill. I instantly pulled out the Covid lateral flow tests and he was positive. I had to call my daughter who was sent home immediately from work just in case. Further testing showed that Boo was also positive, but everyone else tested negative. Eldest daughter and Graham had PCR tests at her hospital and those were negative.
Eldest son and Boo have had positive PCR tests. We also did a PCR test on the Little Man because he has Covid symptoms and needs to know whether he is safe to go to school tomorrow. (I doubt it, even if it’s not Covid, he’s quite poorly.) It does seem strange that someone living with two people with Covid is allowed to go to school, it’s no wonder the figures are so high at the moment. It really is herd immunity.
We knew it would arrive in our home at some point, it seems that these days we know so few people who haven’t had Covid. Eldest son has stayed mostly in his room, he has food with Boo in the kitchen when no-one else is around. Then we open the window before anyone else uses the kitchen. Boo has barely been out of her room and I can’t believe how much I’ve missed her. She’s quite happy though. We’ve been giving her paracetamol but other than feeling a bit hot and tired she’s not been too poorly.
Eldest son has been coughing non stop and has a fever, but he keeps saying he’s fine. If he has left his room he has worn a mask and kept his distance.
The Little Man has a nasty cold, he’s constantly sneezing and sniffling, he has a bit of a temperature but we don’t think he has Covid.
Star has gone into panic mode and kept away from everyone. She’s taken over the Little Man’s bedroom to keep away, and the Little Man has been sleeping in with me, while poor Graham has had to sleep on the settee (but I think he’s actually watching the cricket and then he goes to be when I get up early with the Little Man.)
We have all been vaccinated apart from Boo and the Little Man (Boo was due her vaccination next week and the Little Man is too young.) Eldest son has had both vaccinations so I’m hoping he will be okay, but he is also an asthma sufferer, so I’m keeping an eye on him. There is hope that no-one else will get sick, we are being really careful.
I will cancel my hospital treatment for next week but I’ll be hoping they can fit me in again soon. Boo and Eldest son have been told to self isolate until next Monday (It’s eldest son’s birthday on Tuesday.)
Going back to my photograph of the cold morning gloomy trees, I think they sum up exactly how I feel about life at the moment. Fingers crossed things will improve soon.
It really does look like night time.
Oh no! I am so sorry Covid has invaded your house. I hope everyone feels better soon. Sending love and hugs x
Thank you Kim. We still only have two positive testers but everyone seems to be falling sick.
I hope that the patients feel better soon and the rest of you stay well. We’ve just had an email from school about positive cases in the class, it’s all so stressful :o(

we don’t even get informed by the school anymore. It’s obvious that my daughter brought it home from school as no-one else has been anywhere.
I hope that your sick family members get well fast and that the rest of the family doesn’t get it. Your family is in my prayers. #MMBC
Oh sorry to hear about illness, hope you all feel better soon x #mysundaysnapshot
Hope you all feel better soon.
Oh my goodness! This does sound stressful. I hope everyone is feeling better now and nobody else picked up Covid. It’s hard trying to keep people isolated in the house. Can totally understand you missing Boo. I was just the same when my daughter had it. I talked to her in the doorway, but when she cried I just wanted to hug her.
What a lovely evening snapshot. Thanks for linking up and for sharing this with #MySundaySnapshot.
