Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Tired’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Tired
We had a lovely Christmas and New Year but I think I’ve worn myself out. No, I’ve not been partying and mixing with family. I’ve just been staying up a little later than usual and missing out on sleep because of poor eating habits keeping me awake. I’m so tired!
I use a little app. on my phone which helps me keep a track of my moods and activities. I also use it to remind to do things, particularly self care. One of the things is going to sleep at a decent hour every night. Well, this Christmas I broke my record and had a few late nights. I don’t regret it but I’m so tired now and can’t wait to build that record up again.
As I said, I’ve not exactly being partying, but even stopping my routine and doing things differently can be tiring for me. I need routine. But, I wouldn’t have changed anything because it’s been such a lovely family time and now it’s all back to normal. Looking back to December when I didn’t even want to put my decorations up, I felt really sad when I took them down again.
I’m kind of sad that it’s all over, but also glad that I can get back to relaxing a little more. I am looking forward to being less tired.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
I have been tired this week with the kids going back to school and college. Over Christmas we were staying up late and sleeping later, our sleeping patterns are all over the place. The holidays went so quickly, it was only Christmas eve a couple of weeks ago. x
I definitely know the feeling. We also stayed up late watching tv too. The routine of being in moderation with everything is better though. Thank goodness thaings are getting back to normal.
Going back to getting up early and to see the kids off to school when I’ve had a fortnight of lie in’s has not been easy! hopefully we’ll all get back into the swing of it 🙂
I’m glad you had a lovely family time together although sorry that it’s worn you out a bit too. Hope that you are managing to get back into routine and feeling less tired now. #WotW
I know that feeling. I think I also get tired being social which we haven’t been able to do much in the past few years. I’m glad you had a great Christmas with your family #WotW
