Halloween seems like a long time ago now but I wanted to share my little trick or treat table display from Monday Night.
We had a bit of a hectic Halloween. My daughter was late home from work and Graham went to pick her up. The weather was abysmal, the traffic even more so and there was an accident shutting off some of the roads. This meant they were really late back. Our hopes of a spooky Halloween spread for dinner were dashed and we ended up ordering in a pizza.
The Little Man had hoped to go out trick or treating, but it was too late in the end. Thankfully, I hadn’t spent any money on his costume as he was going to wear his sister’s kigurami Gengar onsie.
We did have lots of callers who were very polite and well dressed up, and also very brave making it out in the rain. Thankfully, I had been storing up lots of sweet treats to share out, we even had some left over.
There were some tricksters though. Someone went around taking all the pumpkins and leaving them in the middle of the road where they were driven over and we had a street full of big orange blobs. It seemed a bit of a waste, but I guess the pranksters thought it was funny.
We didn’t go to a firework display. But we saw plenty from our own windows. We haven’t really done much on bonfire night for ages, maybe we should remedy that next year. Fingers crossed we are healthy. I am now looking forward to the fair and light switch on in Bournville. It’s one of my favourite times of year. This year it’s on my birthday so it will be a lovely treat.
Your trick or treat display looks great! Ours isn’t nearly so fancy.
The trick or treat display is fab!
Oh no, it sounds like a good Halloween despite everything not going to plan. We ended up not going to the bonfire and fireworks as it was too cold and wet. x
Your Halloween display table is great. Although the day was not according to the plan, I can see that you have had many enjoyable moments.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
Love the `halloween treat bowl. We had loads of trick or treaters despite the heavy rain and I ran out of treats around 6pm
Sorry to hear your Halloween didn’t quite go to plan. Nicking the pumpkins and leaving them in the middle of the road is a horrible thing to do! I can imagine there would have been some very upset children.
I’m sorry to hear that you missed out both on trick or treating and a firework display. Maybe next year? Thanks for linking up and for sharing your snaps with #MySundaySnapshot.
