This week I got to go to my favourite place, the beach. I love to look out on the horizon where the sea meets the sky and think about how vast the world is out there. This weeks photo is of my boys on the beach at Weymouth, Dorset.
I think The Little Man enjoyed having his big brother with him this week, they did so much together. It certainly helped him from missing his Dad. We didn’t have the best of weather but we timed this day out so perfectly. I was raining just before we went to the bus stop, we got to the sea front (really quickly) and the sun was shining. We had lunch at a beachside cafe, outside.
Me and the girls waited on the promenade while the boys went down to the sea for a paddle. They came back wet and sandy which the girls would have hated. I’d have been down there in a shot had it been possible.
After we went for a walk around the shops, the girls were thrilled to find a Pokemon store and started spending money. The Little Man picked up a few things but put them back. He gave me some ideas for his birthday presents next week.
Then we sat on the promenade and ate our favourite ice creams. It was my idea of bliss!
Just as we were waiting for the bus, the heaven’s opened and it rained. But by the time we got back to the camp it was sunny again. The boys went off to the outdoor pool while me and the girls chilled in the caravan.
This photo is my favourite of that day, and it was my favourite day.

It sounds like you had a great time even with the rubbish weather. How lovely your eldest son went on the trip and him and your Little Man got to hang out. x
Beautiful!
Great photo of the 2 brothers enjoying the beach. I’m glad the weather took a break in the rain for the guys adventure on the beach. Family time is the best. #MMBC
Weymouth Beach is one of my favourite beaches although it can get quite overcrowded when the weather’s good. It’s a shame about all the rain but it’s still lovely to have a break from home :o)

Glad you got a lovely day. Love the beach too, just to listen to the waves and gulls is my idea of heaven. #MMBC
A fabulous picture and glad the boys enjoyed the beach! 🙂 You seemed to time it well with the weather – it has been such a soggy summer, the sun should be cracking the flags now! Sim x #MMBC
That does sound like a lovely day! So glad you made it to the beach. It’s lovely that the Little Man got to spend so much time with his big brother.
You cannot beat a day at the beach – Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
That’s for sure, I miss the beach already!
