Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Sick’ and you can read more about that below.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU WISH TO LINK UP! FROM NOW ON, THOSE NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES WILL BE DELETED.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. And please only add one post to the link up each week, multiple posts will be deleted. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week. Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
I also have a new link up open on Mondays for your recipes and food related posts. And, if you like to write bookish posts don’t forget my link up on my other blog At Home A Lot, Bookworms Monthly.
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Sick
I’m sorry if you came here early to link up and found this post missing. I did write most of it yesterday but I ended up being real sick and didn’t get around to scheduling it.
And Sick is my word this week.
The Little Man has been really sick since last Friday. Just when I thought he was getting better he would take another downfall. His temperature has fluctuated between 38.3 and 38.9 all week. So yesterday I asked his Dad to take him to the GP. It turns out to be a virus plus ear infection. I really thought it might be covid at one point because his cough has been relentless. We’ve had many nights of sleep lost.
Everyone else has been fine but I’ve had quite a sad week with a bereavement in the family and some sad news from another member.
Yesterday, I did my home treatment and everything seemed to go really well but then I began to feel sick. I’m hoping it’s not going to get worse.
EDIT: It got much worse but I don’t think it was the treatment. I ended up in bed just after 7pm where I had a 3 hour spasm finally helped by my daughter. This morning I feel like I’ve been in the boxing ring all night, my body really took a battering and I have bruises from muscle spasms! I think it might have been worse had I not had my treatment. But I haven’t felt so bad in a very long time. It could simply be the stress of the week getting to me as stress is a huge factor in my being sick.
Anyway, thanks for sticking with me. Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
So sorry that you and Little Man have been sick this week and I’m sorry for your bereavement too. The spasm sounds like it was horrible. I hope that both you and Little Man feel better soon and that the weekend is a calm and restful one for you x #WotW
Oh no! It sounds like your little man has been really poorly, bless him!
So sorry about your loss and sad news.
That is rubbish you felt worse. It sounds like you had a rough night. The stress has to have something to do with it. Sending love and hugs and I hope you and your son feel better soon. x
