We are such big fans of Gü Pudddings we have a cupboard full of the empty glass ramekins they come in. In fact I decorated some and filled them with sweets to put on the tables at our wedding reception! We also use them for tea light candle holders and they’ve been decorated with chalk pens, washi tape, paint and whatever we can find.
I was thrilled to learn that there are a new generation of Gü puds called Gü Mousse Fusions. These little pots (Which are plastic) come in three gorgeous flavours;
Mango Mousse with a Punchy Mango & Passionfruit Coulis (2x70g)
Let your spoon glide smoothly into a tangy fusion of mango and passionfruit coulis, before slowly sinking into a luscious mango mousse for an exotic taste of pure pleasure.
Chocolate & Toffee Mousse with a Silky Chocolate Crème (2x70g)
Lose yourself in a luxurious taste sensation with this sumptuous chocolate and toffee masterpiece. Immerse yourself in the smooth and silky chocolate crème layered over a heavenly chocolate and toffee mousse – the perfect way to tantalise your taste buds.
Strawberry Mousse with a Tangy Strawberry Compote (2x70g)
Dip your spoon into a fruity fusion of smashed strawberry & tangy compote with a hint of balsamic, before being swept away into a haven of bubbly strawberry mousse. Expertly whipped to creamy perfection – it’s the permissible pleasure you’ve been searching for.
The Gü Mousse Fusions range is currently available exclusively at Tesco before rolling out in most major supermarkets from August (£1.80 RRP). Visit http://gupuds.com for more inspiration.
I tried the Chocolate and Toffee Mousse and although you get less than in a ramekin it was still utterly delicious. The smaller amounts reflect in the cheaper prices. It’s just enough for a treat and I really can’t wait to try the other flavours. Which one do you think will tickle your taste buds?
You get two pots in a pack and this time they are in plastic tubs, I’m sure they will be just as recyclable, although maybe not as tealight holders. In my pack one tub said ‘Dig In’ and the other ‘I’m Yours.’ I ate both of them…ooops!
These are really tasty and I’m sure I’ll be buying more of them, and trying all the flavours. My current favourite Gü pud is the Zillionaire’s Cheesecake, but if I’m honest, I couldn’t eat more than one as they are very rich. The new Gü Mousse Fusions are much lighter but still scrumptious.
I’m not a calorie counter but to compare, the Chocolate and Toffee Mousse Gü Fusions (70g) is 200 calories, whereas the Zillionaire’s Cheesecake (83.5g) is 341 calories.
Disclosure: I was sent some vouchers to try Gü Mousse Fusions, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
