Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week, a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is birthday and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase but please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week.
There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK.
Birthday
With three of my children having their birthdays within four weeks of each other I thought I’d stick with birthday this week.
Today is the Little Man’s 9th Birthday. We are celebrating by having his friend around for a couple of hours and a party tea. And there will be cake of course! I was going to take him out somewhere but we had a rather expensive week last week eating out twice. And I’m trying to be frugal so we have more money to spend on our holiday in Cornwall coming up very soon.
The Little Man doesn’t mind, he’s had some big parties in the past which have been fun. We hired a bouncy castle for his 5th birthday, and he had a Minecraft themed party for his 6th birthday
But the past couple of years he’s just had friends around to play…and cake.
I haven’t done much this week, I’ve been working on some blog posts, trying to build up my new Avon business and making the little Man’s birthday cake. I’ve also been resting a lot as I’m not doing too well at the moment. I’m hoping the change of scenery will make me feel better next week. Although I’m really worried about the long car journey. I’m also worried about getting all the packing done and everything sorted before we go. I can write a million lists and still be worried I’ve forgotten something.
Now it’s your turn, what have you been up to this week?

Birthdays are very close together in my house this month too! Happy Birthday to your Little Man, hope he has an awesome time with his friends x
I hope being away helps. Happy birthday to your little one. Hugs x
Happy birthday to your children Anne! I hope you survive the birthday parties. Relaxed, informal parties are the best. My grandchildren have had some huge parties some years and I really think they enjoy the low-key ones just as much. I am sorry to read that you are not feeling well. Hope the change of scenery next week does you good.
Happy birthday to Little Man. I think they enjoy small gatherings just as much. Sorry you aren’t feeling so good this week. I hope you manage to rest well between all the organising. Hope you have a good holiday. Thank you for hosting.
Happy birthday to your boy! I hope he’s had a fab day! A party tea sounds brilliant.
Sorry you aren’t doing to well at the moment. I hope the long car journey goes OK. Have a fab holiday x
