This week I had a lovely night out at the Ballet seeing Matthew Bourne’s Romeo+Juliet. Unfortunately, it’s not allowed to take photos so I can’t share any from there. It did inspire me to get my tickets for the next ballet I wanted to see though, and they arrived the other day. So I’m sharing a photo of them and also one of the birthday card that my Little Man made for his best friends birthday.
The Nutcracker
I’m so excited about this. I’m taking my two youngest girls to see The Nutcracker as an early Christmas treat. They will love it! I saw it for the first time only a couple of years ago and it was truly magical. I hope the magic touches my girls too.
The Birthday Card
I was going to buy a card but The Little Man said he wanted to make his own. When my Little Man had his birthday a month ago his friend made him a card and he wanted to return the favour. So he decorated it with his friend’s favourite Roblox game. They don’t go to the same school anymore but often play together on Roblox online.
I think he did a pretty good job considering he rarely wants to do anything crafty or artistic. But then I opened the card and saw the Wow factor. 🙂
In the corner he is apologising for having no green jewels as he knows his it’s his friend’s favourite colour.
I’m really proud of my Little Man and I know he’s missing out on the Ballet but I really don’t think he would enjoy it as much as the girls so I’m trying to think of a special treat he can have with his Dad (or even both of us.) He’s not the best at sitting still for long periods of time though.
You can see my last weeks Sunday photos here, Stones
What a lovely card, although I did have to a double take at word ‘roblox’, as just for a second it looked like my favourite swear word! I hope you enjoy the ballet. I’ve never seen The Nutcracker, but I’m sure my daughter would love it too.
What an awesome event for your girls, I’d love that! Your little man is very talented, I hope his friend loves it x
That is an ace card! #mysundaysnapshot
How exciting! I bet it will be an amazing show.
Aww! That card is fantastic! Well done your boy x
Great card!
your little man is such a good friend – hint, you need to buy green in the future for him to make cards for his friend! #MMBC
That is awesomely artistic! Love the way he left the really creative part for the inside of the card so it came as a surprise.
So exciting, I’d love to see the Nutcracker! Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
ooh that is so exciting I’m going to see that ballet for the first time this year with my little girl. We go next month. I wonder if it’s the same one? #MySundaySnapshot
We are going to see The Nutcracker, I’ve seen it before and it really is magical. In fact there is something about every ballet I’ve seen that just takes me away to a better place, I feel the excitement rise the second the music starts. But I can’t watch it on tv, it’s not the same. Im sure Aria will love it. (so long as it’s not Matthew Bourne, I adore his ballet but they are not really for kids.) xx
